We recently brought a Water Purifier for us. It was an essential product as the levels of Iron in the water at our place is higher than the normal levels and had bad effect on my illness.
Now after using the product for over 2 weeks, I feel that I am not quite sure of the promises that the vendor made. I do know know why but this feeling persists and I am unable to get this out.
Though the odor is now gone, the water is now tasteless and my wife says it is ok and safe, I am not sure yet.
Have you felt this way for any products that you have used or I am just having this feeling because of my earlier experiences. Please share.
Cheers,
theSids.

I don't really sure what will be deliver or promises by the products that I buy, unless I really need the function and it is important, then I will make sure the vendor give what I want and will make sure he/she give me warranty for that. Or else I will ask for refund.

Hi yspmyl,
The warranty of a product is some assurance about the product in my opinion. Because if the product was not delivering what was expected from it, the vendor or the manufacturer might be in deep problems.
I wished the refunding processes were smooth and easy, they are quite difficult here at my place but yes, you can try for an alternate to the product if the vendor agrees. I have done this quite a few times.
Thanks for sharing your opinion.

I am leary about how well things work as well. Most things dont matter but like you said if you are drinking water you want to make sure its as clean as it can get. I have a water purifier but my husband installed it and it wasent very expensive. We had rust in our water and it clears it out well we just have to change the filter every 2 months. I pretty much just drink bottled water just to be safe unless its right after the filter was changed.

Hi Shaggin,
True that when it comes to drinking water, it really matters that the products do deliver and if you are unsure try out the packaged water. But that in india is still untrustworthy as you find instances of the same old bottles being used by many local companies. But still, it is better that you spend some more on the branded ones.
The water purifier that we have installed is a cheaper one and doesnt work on either electricity or battery, and it is all plastic with some filters and filtering mechanisms. So I think it would be ok.
Oh yes, it comes with a manual that states, replacement of the filter kit after we have consumed 1500 liters of water. So I think it would be safer.

Wow people simply wash out used bottles and sell water in them again to customers? That is really gross! I would never pay for a product that wasent brand new from the factory if it was something that I had to consume. Who knows how well they clean them ick. Our water filter we are supposed to only have to change every 3 months but with as much rust is in the water we change it every 2 months.

Unfortunately this happens in India and if you are not careful you might end up in spending an amount for the local water. I ensure that the dates of packaging are written on the cap seals than anywhere else this way I can be more sure that I am getting better water for me. At my place, only the Coca Cola - Kinley and PepsiCo - Aquafina have them on the seal of the cap. Most others - the local ones put them on the brand labels which can be easily removed as they are plastic sheets put on the plastic bottles to make them look fresh and clean.
