Hi Chaitra!
Please do not feel nervous at the thought of 'presentation'. Believe in yourself and think that you can do it, without any problem. I am sure you have the capacity to do it. Forget about the fact that your bosses or superior are sitting, while you are giving presentation. Just concentrate entirely on the presentation and how you explain your topic. Be prepared for some questions, which may be asked during the presentation. If by chance, you do not know the answer of any question, if asked during presentation, just say - "I am not exactly aware, I will check and revert to you".
On my part, I have taken some training classes for my subordinates and myself attended many trainings courses. I do not feel nervous, while giving presentation or training class. While giving lectures/training, I would try to connect with the participants and would made them part of my lecture/presentation.
Best of Luck!

well chaitra....
As i am related to educational field, so i have to attend seminars ( national and international) and presented my papers. i think presentation or explanation om some topics are quiet similar to seminar. in a seminar you have to deliver a lecturer on your research paper.
i understand what is going on you. i think you are nervous due to the presence of your boss and other mentioned people. at first you just think that al of them are your students and you are a teacher. so try to explain your speech with easy words, so that they can understand easily, later you move to serious points ( if you have). if u think that interaction may raise then be ready for it, and in this case be serious on your preparation. don't try to produce some complex conception ( most people think that this way then can establish their wisdom and study and power on that subject and often get failed), be easy, be polite, be flexible... don't be hurry, don't try to make them understood, they will.
all the best.

Hi chaitra,
My work never demands a presentation dear. But I worked behind the presentation. Our Centre organized many seminars (national and international) and workshops. I have done projects too when I was a student.
I think there is nothing to get nervous as you have done the presentations already. Some more colleagues are there, just think like that way. No need to think that your boss is there, he/she is also like other colleague. Once you start with it then you can gain confidence. You can do it better than you think, I am sure. All the best.

I'm going to be talking to you about how to be confident in the workplace. Think about all your past successes. You have said that you have given many Presentations in past. So that is you key to be confident. As you succeed in your past so it will be fuel of your self-belief.
Positive affirmation is the key of success. When you find yourself thinking negatively about yourself, then engage in these positive affirmation statements. "I'm someone who's intelligent. I'm someone who's confident."
Focus On Your Body Language.Whenever you go into a room, whenever you're surrounded by people in a working environment, make sure your head is high, you maintain eye contact and you're open, so you look friendly, confident and approachable. Actually, having this confident body language will also, psychologically, allow you to feel more confident as an individual.
Finally you have the ability. So nothing there to be suspicious on your success. All the task is already done why you are hesitate to capture by tou hand.

Nope, the only time I gave a presentation was in school, for my final year project. That was the most presentation I ever had apart from those tutorial presentations whereby we know each other. When it comes to work, I have not reach the stage of needing to present anything. Above me is my boss and below me are the juniors, so it's either party have g to impress each other.

Join your local Toastmasters. The organization is dedicated to helping you overcome those fears of public speaking regardless of your audience. Not only that, but you can also be awarded for your progress and they can send a copy to your employer.
But in the mean time you can make sure to know your presentation cold. You already know that its alright to have notes and not okay to stare at them and read word for word. Since your boss and his boss and so on will be attending they either want to see how well you give a presentation or they want the information your giving out. Either way, make sure what you are providing is current.
Also there is nothing wrong with a little humor as long as it is tasteful.
Good Luck

Dear friend,
When I was doing my management course each student was allotted to give each chapter as presentation and during the 2nd and 4th semester we have to give our mini project and project presentations. Later at job place during initial stages there were lots of presentations. Now we do it with other contract people and only answers to the questions asked by others are clarified by us. I hope meditation and using breathing exercises helps in giving presentations. If possible have a bit of water from the glass of water kept on the table, just to make the lips wet so that there would not be much dryness in our mouth especially while talking.Wish you all best in your presentation.....
