The status quo, working at home is gaining a lot of popularity particularly for single parents like myself. Traditionally, the office is the workplace of an employer and employee. However, the latter is more attractive, convenient, cost effective and time- saving, not to forget that you're the boss here.
On the other hand, working at home may disrupt your relationship with your family. I have seen this in people close to me its sad to see them being neglected because their home have been converted to an office. Nevertheless, a time management can help solve this changes.

When i was working in a company at first i thought it will goes everything the way we want it, like having a good salary, increasing every year, good bonuses and a fixed time to work. But i didn't have that kind of experience, so i dream of having my own business someday.
Well now i'm a businessman already. I own a gym and some agricultural business in my province. But still i dream of other, i dream of expanding my business, more business in mind. But what's better than being the boss? So i can say i made the correct decision of leaving my previous company and decided to go after what i truly love, having business of my own.
Now that i'm the boss, i own my time. That's why i have the time to spend here in myLot.

I am currently an office worker, but I really would like to shift to a work at home set-up. I am a mother of 2, thus, I would like to have more time for my kids. An office schedule really ties me down. I know I can managed my time well at home because I'll have more flexibility -- no boss to call or inform you of your whereabouts at a certain hour, and also no boss to breath down your neck. I really would like to ease my way into a work at home schedule. I believe that it would give me the flexibility to have more income streams.

Acording to my view,it is based on our time management. If our concentration on work is not affected in home, then we can work at home.Otherwise we have to work at office only.

Usually I have a 2-hour travel each of the day to get in the office. I wake up around 5:30am to 6:00am to get myself dressed up. I arrive in the office around 9am the usual. The lesser vehicles there are, the earlier I can arrive and the earlier I can also go home. But these are rare events. I go out of the office around 6:00pm and travels 2 hours and 30 minutes. This is the earliest since I ride a train but if not I think you need to add an extra 1 hour on the time. End result, I am a 23-year old employee, always stucked on the traffic no matter how early I try to get out the house. So I have always thought of working on the comforts of our house where I can watch TV, eat chips, chit-chat on the phone but really I just wanted to escape the horrible loss of time and exhaustion I encounter whenever I go to work. I like the thought of going to the office once in a while if I get bored but I feel too lazy now so I prefer our house. =)

If you have already made the career move of working at home then few things must be taken in consideration about your home office like, do not get it twisted, your home office is your job site and it must be treated as so. It must be separated from other areas of the home. You are direct reflection of your home office and vice versa. If you work in a mess, you will be a mess. You must make it your business to not allow your business to be use as a place of storage.

I suppose you are right, but on the other hand, there are tons of people who work outside the home and who neglect their families due to being at the office too much too. So I think it really depends on the people, and people who do work from both home and offices need to take responsibility for their families and their needs themselves.
I think it helps if you have designated times for work, even when you work from home, and also a separate room where you work, so you don't work everywhere...

I have been working at home for almost a year now. At first it was difficult for me to manage my time between work and my family but compared to the time when I was employed, it seemed to be much better because I can watch over my son when he's home, I was able to help him with his homework, and we study together. I can also do other things while working at home during the free time that I get. So i think working at home works best for me.

Working at home or at the office - both are having some plus points as well as drawbacks. According to my view working at home is better for housewives, because they can work when they are free. It is difficult for housewives to reach at office in time especially for those who are having small children.

Well I guess both have their benefits like working for home you would never be late and never have to really worry and weather. You would also be in a environment where you are comfortable and relaxed. This could also have its downsides like if you have kids home they run around screaming and wanting to spend time with you which is bad just when you got to work you got to work. Then their are phone calls you will get and visitors you don't usually get at work.
Going into work can be nice because you are getting away from your daily life getting to see other people and different things and doing different task. You also get to meet new people when you work outside of the house and do after work activities with them. Bad side is the driving home, long hours and constant fear of your company being downsized and you being laid off.
Personal I like working out of the house because I like a change of scenery and meeting new people.

for me, I choose working at home.
I now plan to be home-worker. I just can't imagine waking up in the morning and go home after evening. Then I look at the mirror realizing how old I have been. Home is like heaven. It is all I need to make my heaven in the world.
