How good are you at remembering names?

Me ? Not really.... And U kinda feel guilty about it. I used to introduce my self to a lot off people when the first time iI got in to the college. It makes me know their names, but when I meet them again on another day I just forget their name when they remember mine. It makes me feel bad

That really is a very good question for me. Of course, we lose memory as we get older, and that's happening to me too. But, very astonishingly, one thing that I forget so much is "names", names of people, places, etc., any thing "names". I am very surprised with that. I just wonder why ? It gets so difficult to recall the names of best friends even ! That is so amazing !

I think that it depends on the name, on the person, and such. Sometimes, I actually do need them to remind me their names, while other times, I can actually remember their name fairly easily.

well i can remember a person's face after years even i see them only for a second in passing.i can remember a phone number i hardly used for years but when it comes to names i not that good. i even forgot my classmates name from college eventhough its been only 2 years.lol

Yes, I am good with names. I don't know why really, I just think it's nice when people remember my name (and it's a tough one for people to remember) - so I have always tried to do the same. And people do get flattered when you do remember . . . you get brownie points for it, especially in a work situation! Saying the person's name in the conversation when you first meet them seems to help the name sink in for you to remember.

ya me too is like that, but i can remember the face even though their names are forgotten by me. that means i know the person but not the name.

I am hopeless at remembering names after I lose contact with persons. We recently had a college get together and I was aghast to know I could hardly remember the names of my friends with whom I spent three years in college and then lost touch for years. This happens to me most of the time and I feel ashamed at times, but then it is something I cant help. I too remember names of people I am in constant contact with, thats all.

its the same for me i cant remember the names of people whom i met once or twice and i always ask their name in the next meeting and it goes on for a few people

I`m realy good at remembering names and even when i don`t need the names of some people because i would not talk to them no more i remember their names.

I am hopeless in remembering names. Even with friends names, especially the ones who are not in constant contact with me. But I will remember them by their "mock" names.

I am bad with remembering names. Sometimes it may insulting to others but I just keep on forgetting their names. I need to see them constantly to memorize them right away.
