What do you do if you fall in love with your best friend?

Well, we've been best friends a year now. And i think I love her already but I really cannot express my love to her for I think she just feels that we're just totally friends. Nothing more, nothing less. I am also afraid to tell her that I have already feelings for her, maybe it will destroy our friendship and I can really risk that! So, I want to hear your ideas. Do I go saying to her that I have feelings for her or should I just shut up and wait? Thanks!
