Wrestling is in fact predetermined/worked/fixed/faked/whatever work you want to do. It is a performance art. Obviously not every moron off of the street can do it, there is training. But then again, not everyone can be a good actor on television shows/movies, which is also fake by the way. I think that should not demean the accomplishments of the competitors.
I think I am a fan of wrestling in spite of it being fake. It is like a combination drama/athletic sport. There are elements for everyone I think. Its pretty obvious that the outcomes are predetermined, unlike something like UFC, where it is very real. Still it takes a lot of training and dedication. After all, there are wrestlers who are good in the ring and then there are wrestlers who are bad in the ring and that's not because of wins and losses either.

Maybe "staged", but the bumps and injuries can be as real as anyone could suffer in any other sport
Maybe we can appreciate Pro Wrestling right now as a "ballet with violence" -like Jesse Ventura called it years ago-. I, personally, like the execution, and the selling of every move they perform inside the ring. Others can enjoy the "show", the pyro, the acting, the drama, etc..... but to me, it's ALL about "execution" -even when I could be seen as a "spot junkie" ho-hooo! XD

For starters, WWE never claimed that they are a real professional wrestling. It was just kids who imagined that they were real. Also, WWE never claimed they were unreal either because of obvious business reasons. Its just a weekly show like any other show you watch on TV. It has its own directors and creative team to write scrips and give then new ideas to sustain fan base. Some of the moves performed by WWE superstars are also unreal which has been proven by a lot of video footage in slow mo.

Of course it's not real. That's why it's called entertainment now. It's just a combination of a stunts put together to put on a show. Of course the stories matter. That's why they value a wrestler's acting skills.

WWE is scripted and choreographed. They are trained to choreograph their moves and perform them on other wrestler s safely, However wrestlers do get injured, so in some ways WWE is real.

No they aren't real. It is all pure acting. Though I have to give them credit. Some of it looks real and looks like it would hurt extremely bad. But, you know what I bet all those wrestlers are probably the nicest people in the world outside of wrestling.
