I cook. I clean. I sing to them softly. I leave random notes and emails. Sometimes I'll do something very obnoxiously silly early in the morning to get the day off to a good start or something as equally spontaneous really late at night to wear people down or get them to relax so that they can just have fun or go to sleep. I listen. I talk. I do not condescend or patronize. If, for example, they are undertaking some big new chapter on their life.. such as new studies or illness, I learn as much as I can about the situation from as many sources as possible. Understanding is VERY important in showing someone love. I make mistakes and apologize. I make mistakes and learn and forgive the mistakes that they might make without throwing it back in their face. I laugh. I smile. I do special things just for them... No no, not physically ... lol :p If something is important to them, I try to make it important to me too. I encourage dreams and self enrichment, even when I know that it could lead to a future without me. I sacrifice. I take care of myself as much as I do my loved one and my daughter. Just so many things....

Well that is true. Actions do speak louder than words. It's like when I got angry and my boyfriend asked "are you angry?" but i said "no". Seeing my facial expression, I really was. Holding hands is one gesture that really speaks out that you are truly in love with him/her. It's not too much that people can't consider it as PDA. I gave my boyfriend a simple letter of love every time I miss him. Even a single hug everyday can boost his mood.

There are ways to prove and let our loved ones feel that we love them so much without saying a word. Like what you wrote, holding the hands is one way to make them feel. Giving them something,or little things (doesn't matter how cheap it is) even if there is no occasion or event. A kiss, hug or a touch in their back is enough to say how much we love them.

Showing concern is one. Saying please be careful. Or maybe commenting on the nice haircut or the beautiful smile. Offering a cup of coffee, of course giving flowers is very common way to show love. Asking if he had his lunch already or is he feeling good or better. Asking whats bothering him in times when his face looks troubled. Of just finding ways to make him laugh. Lots of things done with the heart will surely send the message. (^_^)
