Do You Know About Banana City ?

Now i'll tell u @all about banana city, Lumajang in East Java known as Banana City, the question is why it happen? do you know about "Pisang Agung"? from the name "agung" mean extremely big and this kind of banana only life and grow well in the slope semeru lumajang-east java, outside lumajang this kind of banana can be planted and life but the size changes smaller. this "pisang Agung" become the banana's mascot that is why then lumajang already known as banana city,,what do u think,,please share it here

i think lumajang just small city but in history lumajang is a very famous district in majapahit, many majapahit elite official come from lumajang, u know rakuti, patih nambi and also gajah mada origanally from lumajang.
now lumajang is small and growing town, some superior commodities from lumajang is banana agung, robusta "semeru" coffee and also iron "lumajang" sand, and many more about lumajang i'll try to share later, thank u and enjoy mylotter

Oh My shmae was dubbed the city banana is Lumajang, I just know though, I am an Indonesian but I'm so far from Lumajang city, I was in the middle west java, tahnk you for information. I know new knowledge on mylot.

beside "banana agung or pisang agung" which have an extra size and excellent taste, lumajang city also popular with other pisang like cavendish which sale on many supermarket, this kind of banana named "banana mas kirana". in fact in lumajang not only agung and mas kirana can grow well, so many kind of banana can grow well that is why this city already called as banana city

great banana really is not a monopoly Lumajang only. Bananas are of this type is to be found also in other regions with various designations. Apart from East Java, the great centers of banana are found also in West Java and Lampung. In East Java, Lumajang including banana producer with the largest grand Senduro District as its main axis.

kendedes, i think u right about bananas as local comodity, not only lumajang produce great banana but agree or disagree lumajang since along time ago actually popular as banana city and that is cant be easily replaced by other place in our country
