What is the most advanced operating system for the computers today.Please share your view and why you think it is the most advanced operating system in the market today.

Though Windows is the most popular today, Linux is catching up. And i believe one day Linux like Ubuntu , Fedora etc. will take the place of Windows. Windows is too expensive and easy to be attacked by virus and trojan, while Linux is free and safe. Tomorrow will be Linux's.

Ubuntu seems to be getting popular with time.You havent mentioned about Mac OS.I havent use a Mac so far,but people mention it as a very good OS.Now,it seems like the reign of monopoly is coming to an end.

Yes,you are right. I have used Mac OS in VMware. It's a nice OS, especially for video processing and photo processing. And if the price of a Mac book drops, Mac will be more popular.
