The 3 match ODI serise between India and Australia which is currently going on is taken as a silly series by the Australian cricket board and the Cricket players.
Many of their good players are not included for the Series{ I think they just preparing for the Ashts).
Ponting,Johnson,Hilfenhaus are some names amoung them.
Now Hussey and bollinger and hussy returned to home to reduce their workload and to look forward to Asheds.
Hussey who played a brilliant knock in the last ODI has been send back to Australia to play a domestic match (Western Australia's Sheffield Shield match vs South Australia).
Australian cricket board and Hussey is giving more Importance to Domestic match that the International ODI against the second rankd Indian team
Sometime Hussey might have thought that playing against the australian domestic bowlers is better than the Indian bowlers.
Australian cricket board and the players are very much keen about Ashes.
Is it fair ,taking an International match as so silly???

really?
well lets see.
bollinger had stomach strain and he is australia's potent weapon and why is it wrong to give him rest and get ready for ashes?
hussey did play the first match and he looked in fine form.you got to admit, our bowling line up is pretty flat leaving out zack and bhajji.seems hussey thinks THAT INDIANS DONT TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY ENOUGH TO PLAY WITH FULL STRENGTH that he went back and play domestic tournaments where atleast he gets much better practise.
i wonder what zack and bhajji are doing now?dancing on reality shows?
indian team is leaving out 9 top players from the kiwis tour to prepare for south africa series which does not have the hype of ashes.
and you think its right for india to rest 9 players from an INTERNATIONAL tour and prepare for south africa but wrong for aussies to leave out a few players for a series which got one washed out and other on the verge of wahsout and prepare for a fued that went for 100 years?
i cant wokr out this logic

ya now me too feels that Australians are taking this international match as a silly one.
but let me remind you one thing, we are also not playing sachin, sehwag, gautam gambir, zaheer and so ....
so we indians are also taking this a bit silly.but indian bowling is poor, practising on aus domestic bowling is better, thats sure.
but not going to play a domestic match avoiding an international match.
thats like showing misbehave to international cap.
cricket australia is alos giving more importance to ashes, thats very clear here, but its only near to november 15th, so why they rest their players so much early?

Ok,I accept that there are a few players missing for India also(some are Injured).
The ashes is going to start only at mid NOvember,so there is time to rest for the players.
And here Hussey is gone to play a domestic match ,that very bad.
As you said it is like showing misbehave to international cap.

This has always been the practice with the Australian team. When you are not in a position to beat an opposition team take the matches lightly to show the world that they are not interested and they are loosing purposely. Now that their full strength team has been beaten hands down this ploy of theirs will cut no ice with cricketing world.

Ya,thats right.
The outer world will say that they lost because the team was not full bench

Yes Australia is indeed not taking these ODI matches seriously. They are looking for better form so that they can carry it forward to the upcoming Ashes. Moreover senior players are having rest so that they can come into the ashes with fresh legs.It has made my interest down because of no big names in the game.

More than one month left for them before ashes.
It would have more interisting ODI series if big names were there

I don't know whether they are takin us lightly or not.. But i guess taking any team lightly in international match ( specailly world ranking 2 team ) is really not fair or it will be bad situation for them only...
In ODI Australia is on 1st rank currently and if they will take lightly to any team and will loose matches because of that then it will effect their ranking .. So i guess if they are doing this then it will be worse for them only..

Before this lets talk about the unfair treatment of indians in australia.
There are indian students fighting for their lives in sydney and melbourne hospitals.
Every day we here about the cases of attacks against indian students in australia.
It is difficult to tell that whether the australian govt is taking it serious or not.
On my opinion we have to avoid these cricket matches in order to show something against this shameful activities.

I will definitly agree with you.
There are many attacks going on in Australia against the Indians.
We should stop playing Cricket with them for some time.

I think that has been a long standing view of the Aussie Cricket board that the Ashes is above all other engagements. So this is not really a surprising news for me. Also the fact that Bollinger and Hussey joined the Australian test squad to India late after the CL T20 exploits with CSK and the subsequent 2-0 loss to India, has just highlighted to them the importance of having proper preparation before big series.
To me as well this ODI series is more a trials for the youngsters who want to break into a number of open positions in both Indian and Australian team. You can as well say India does not take this series seriously as they have rested Sehwag, Gambhir, Sachin, Zaheer, Bhajji who are all regulars in the Indian team!!
Cheers!

Australia might have the similar comment about Ashes later. After losing heavily against England, they would probably say that Ashes were not important as they had been preparing for World Cup.

I agree to what Venkit has mentioned , may be they want Hussey to get some practice before Ashes on Australian grounds also some rest as he has been playing continuously since champions league then test series now ODIs.About Bollinger he is injured so has to return home , why risk a important player for a series which cant be won now and for just one match.I am sure if a full strenght Indian team was playing and the series was longer with more ODIs all important players like Ponting etc must have been playing surely. There are very high chances of same Indian team playing against NZ as BCCI , selectors,Kirsten and Dhoni wants to preserve important players for tests and world cup, so next ODI series will also be played in same manner.

Hi grvdubey11 ,
Just look for the Australian fixture.
The Ashes is starting Only from NOV 25.
[b]And Australia have a lot of game in Home before that(both International and Domestic).
There is a T20 game and 3 match ODI series with SRILANKA which will be played in Australia in Nov first week.
Autralia have about 28 domestic matches before the Ashes,NEE MORE PRACTICE???[/b]
Now you tell me, Does the Australia cricket board doing the right thing???

I think you are right. The Australians already accepted defeat. Else they wont call back hussy, who played brilliant in last one day. Why they are taking ashes so important.India is more better team than Aus. So inorder to prove them strong they have to defeat India.
The australians are poor right now and they are going to loose the ashes too.

India is playing very good now. It is better if they stayed , so that the match will be more interesting to watch. Also it will test indaia's ability. Any way as they returned it will be easy for india to win the next match also.
