How effective are Article Spinners?

They're very effective if you want to gain a reputation as a thief and a plagiarist. Article spinners work by stealing content and changing it enough so that it supposedly can't be traced. People who use them are called Black Hats, and everyone who works hard writing their own content hates them. Using article spinners to post content will get you kicked off any site if you are identified.
