How many pets have you had in total?

[b]How many pets have you had in total? Now I am asking both all the different animals, and the total amount of animals. If they have been in your family in your childhood, then it counts too, or if they have just been in your family.

I can personally say that I have had a goldfish, 2 rams, 3 bunnies, 2 cats, 1 dog (only for a day, but we thought that we would have him for longer), 2 rabbits and 12 chickens (7 first, +5 afterwards). That makes 6 (+1, the dog) different animal races, and 22 (+1, the dog) animals in total. Unfortunately, only one of the cats, and maybe one of the rams are still alive...
But I am happy for having at least them

I will have to really think about this one. I had all kinds of stray dogs and cats I took in when I was a kid. I actually used to go rescue dogs from the inhumane "shelter" they were in. I felt so sorry for them I would get them out illegally and take them home and tell my mom and dad they followed me! So I can't tell you exactly how many. Plus when we lived on the farm the animals were mostly like pets..except the ones we ate!

You have been really nice to tose dogs at the "shelter" then, and I respect that at 100%.
It is just a fact that we eat animals, and so do other animals eat other animals. Even as cute and adorable things as dolphins eat small fish...
I don't feel too bad about eating animals though, because that's how the food chain just goes...

I hear ya on that one!
I could easily be all vegetarian though! But I like an occasional lean piece of meat or fish. We raised rabbits to eat and also chickens and even a pig each year.

In Finland, where I live, we "always"(most people don't and not always, but many do, and it's part of our culture) eat a pig on Christmas! We even have songs about it: "Sika, (tuut)! Se kuulan kalloon saa... Sika, (tuut)! Sen setä teurastaa... Sika, (tuut)! Ja setä verta juo... Sika! Se joulumielen tuo etc..."
Translated: Pig, (tuut)! It get's a bullet in it's skull... Pig, (tuut)! It gets slaughtered by our uncle... Pig, (tuut)!And uncle drinks (it's) blood... Pig, (tuut)! It brings the christmas mood etc...
Don't think that we are just that barbar people thought, that song is just part of our christmas culture (Santa Claus is (a finnish "invention") Finnish, and lives in Korvatunturi, Northern Finland)

nah!!!! We don't have really interests to them, they are just nonsense..... hahahahahahaha 
Ok..... What We have only are just a couple of
-10 cats plus 2 new born kittens
-3 dogs (a big brown mongrel, mini dachshund and mini poodle)
-11 Budgies plus one more chick tweeting inside the box.
- Fishes in the Aquarium (with a 5 year old Janitor fish)
- and of course, those very annoying a pair of Cockatoos. hahahahahhahaa.....

It seems like you would be building an Ark! Will you let me in? I could be the monkey, or the gorilla, or even the chimpanzee! Some even think that I am a sheep, so at least that!

i think i have 20 plus dogs in my whole lifetime. some of them are my own pets the others are just house pets. i can't really remember how many cause we really had a lot!!! but due to sickness or old age they die and some of them i cannot remember the names anymore.

Wow!! You have many pets. That is so great. Personally, I havent have any pets. But my grandfather had a dog once. We adored him so much. But he got lost and never went home back again. We all got sad when he was gone. My cousin who lives next door they have 2 dogs a female and male. My brother had an aquarium once, but he got rid of them. Maybe he got tired taking care of the aquarium. Having a pet means dedication and patience. Maybe I will get a dog when I have the money and own place.

Currently i have my two MONSTER FISH! A Spotted gar and a Clown Knife fish. I'm a monster fish lover and previously i had a monster golden arowana and a paroon shark but due to huge sizes having a small tank before i have no choice but to sell them to LFS (local pet shop).
I'm currently saving money for my huge pond. By early next year i will start my pond construction. So I could relocate my two monster fish on the pond and buy new other species of monster fish.
I can't wait to do that!

Wow! Monster fishes? That sounds really cool. Me too I would love to have my walls made of aquariums and have all kind of exotic animals there, but also to have a bigger pond as you, and to have some really cool big fishes there!

I very love animals. epecially cats and dogs. Often breed them. umm, let me see... sin i was young to right now... 8 dogs, 8 cats but only one cat is alive. Her name is Du` (english is umbrella). That each my pet passed ways made me very sad... Probably, I won't breed many pet any more, one of the reasons is my business.

It's good that you have had both cats and dogs and not just one specie, but did you have them at different times?
Anyway... I am sorry for you as you won't breed many pets no more (probably), but can I ask that what business are you talking about that is needing you to do this?
