Free Android applications , any idea ?

Finally i bought a HTC desire , previously i asked guys over here to suggest me a amongst few of my choices , and i just got it a week back . I am currently looking for free apps on the mobile , can someone tell a site which provides the same ? Am aware of the android market but need to know more about sites which have apk files with them for free apps . Thanks

I found that my service provider took me too its site for applications, although not all of them where free.

you can make a search on a search engine about android free appls i think that some forums where they are specilised in android give you some free appls for simple puporses you can check there.

Besides the android market, I really don't know aof any other sites. I have downloaded and installed free games from the market. You could do a search through the market to see what you come up with. I have only had my android phone for 2 weeks, so I am still learning the ins and outs of everything. I am sorry I can't help you, but there might be others that would know and coulde help you more.
