I have penfriends in my high school, but we never met,our friendship lasted for 3years, then finally we go to different universityies to study then have no touch.I always imagine about meeting her, but finally I found out we all changed even though I tried to find her for many years and then finally got her number, I sent message to her, but finally found out we changed , so we never met and We have no touch now. I feel not so well for this, so I am not so positive about friendship with a time gap. Because people changes with time go. My online friend is the similar experience ,too. so I think friends in my environment is more realistic. How do you think?

This summer I met several online friends. We got to know each other on a online learning group, and it's two years that we've "met" online. And finally we met at August. :) Well, all of them are nice and interesting persons. We have a dinner together, and talked a lot about yourself or some ther funny things. My opinion is that you cannot really know who he/she is and what kind of person they are if you have just met them for a few days. Konwing a person takes a lot of time. And as the time goes by, you still think that he/she is nice, then you can go out and meet them in the real life.

hI , Banban, I agree with you, as a Chinese saying goes: you will know people's heart with time go , and you will know the horse's energy with the long journey. Have a nice day! With Appreciation! pinetreestone

Hi pinetree, I like this meaningful Chinese sayang as well The first one begins with the chinese charactor road and the other starts with the charactor of day. The ten words describe in detail how the passing by of time will judge one's heart and faithfulness toward friend Happy posting

AS far as I am concerned, I think I usually enjoy meeting friends online so much, which usually can do a lot of help to my daily life. For meeting friends online, I get usually talk with them so directly and get the help from them. Though we do not know each other, we still can have a lot of in common and have fun online to enjoy a comfortable life.Have a nice day!

I love meeting online friends, most go, some stay. No matter what though, you have someone you can share with, joke with, and just be happy knowing, and then they move on, or you do, it hurts just like a real friend, but you are better for having had the relationship in the first place. There is always change in our lives, when you make the change constantly for the better this is good. Sincerely and With Appreciation...PS, it is nice to see you around.

I think it is good to meet your online friend because I always like to make online friends. And I met only 2-3 online friends in my life. Because they always believe on me and I also believe on them. So I think trust is also necessary in online relationship because it is a way of any relationship stronger.

Thanks, from your point , I know trust is the key to any relationship, but for me it's so hard to trust people never met, I need to change my heart, and have the wisdom to make a bright choice. With best regards!

This is very true sometimes I hope that doesn't happen though because my friends have planned to want to meet up with me like all the time, but I never can because my dad never lets me and I feel so bad because they might start thinking that I am avoiding them which is not the case at all because no matter how my friends change I will always be their friend no matter what that's how I really feel abou my friends because we all have been through so much together that it's just to hard to give up on each other.

i had the same experience. we planned to meet up several times. in fact we already exchanged text messages but still weren't able to meet up. the excitement of meeting each other just suddenly faded.
