[Help] How do you know if you are ready for a new relationship?

I broke up with my ex a couple of months. I was young and impulsive. Our relation almost ruined my life. It actually caused quarrels in my home...Well, I have made the biggest suggestion. And I left him. Then men go for me. They talk to me, get to know me. They wanna make me their possession. One of them, in particular, keep texting me after I gave him up. He asked me out.
But I am not sure if I am ready for this. I don't want anyone, including myself.

My friends always tells me that once you can talk with your ex with no guilt or any hard feelings. Then you are over him/her. This only means that you are ready to look for another partner and commit.
It vary from person to person but thinking about it I think my friend is right. What do you think?

I hold up for ur idea. I am lack the courage either talk to him, nor see him again. Maybe I have to do the thing. But in fact, I hate him.
