i am color blind, so when it comes to buying for example ribbons with a certain color that my wife needs for sewing or thread, she does not let me buy it. for i always buy the wrong one. but for example on threads with numbers then she can let me buy that for all i can need to say is the number. regarding designers, i dont know. i just wear simple clothes and i am not even a fashionable person. when i need to dress for any occasion it is my wife who handles that.

fruits are easy, they have different figures. i know what is banana and i know what is a melon so thats easy. clothes i stick mostly to white, black and gray tshirts. colors always change. sometimes my wife says pick the pink and i get a blue har har har. the only thing i know that is blue is because she told me that it was blue. i always have mistakes on what colors it is. red and orange are distinctive. before i got married it was my mother and i have two younger brothers.

Do you have difficulties in choosing red or green apple? Do you know that the fruit are ripe? I just want to know more about people who is colorblind. I'm a graphic designer. Do you have difficulties in viewing websites? Or even when you play games? Such as playstation game or others?

My son is colorblind. I think his is mild though. He has trouble with bold colors. He used to get in trouble in school. I remember being called in - i think in 1st grade or 2nd grade - the teacher said he would color things in wrong - like the water would not be blue - i said did you even read his file? How dare you say that to me. Just tell him it's a beautiful picture. Geez! Then in 4th or 5th grade he got in trouble again. The teacher said when I say take out your green folder - he takes out the wrong one or doesnt take it out right away. Trying to get attention. Now my son is far from an angel - I can easily say that - but I asked her - have you ever read his file? Did you know he is colorblind? no - right - good teacher you are! I said instead of saying take out the green folder why cant you say take out your green math folder or your blue english folder. This way he stands a chance at it.
He can see most other things -like traffic lights, etc. Sometimes he will say oh I like that purple house and it would be brown or green. Sometimes he will dress in clashing clothes if the colors are bold. We laugh about it and life goes on.

His teachers are rude. They should not just blame and get angry at your son. May I know how old is your son now? Is he have difficulties in differentiated red and green apple? Do he feel upset when his teacher scold him? Because now I'm taking my Master and doing research about red green colorblindness. That's why I want to know more about people who suffer colorblind.

My son is 16 years old now. He can tell the difference in apples because they are not bold colors. it is the intense colors that he has trouble with.

I'm not colorblind nor do I know anyone who is. Though I think the way some people dress has others questioning if they are "color blind" as well! *LOL* Though I've been told they often need help putting clothing color combinations togeather as they can't tell what matches and what doesn't.
