I really like it. The sotries about gods and demigods and titans and anything that begin the world. The stories are exciting and I get to see many demi-gods with their own problems
what about you ?? do you like them ??

Did you watch the movie "Clash of the Titans"? I am sure you will enjoy that. As far as I know, there are two versions and I have watched both. I prefer the old one though as it is more mystical and in line with the greek mythology. The new version is more hollywood style and sensational, that I think lost the greek flavour.
There are some other good movies like "Earthsea", also very much recommended and is about this young wizard Ged who sets out to defeat his enemies and reunite a kingdom. "The Odyssey" is another movie about Odysseus, as portrayed in Homer's poem.
"Percy Jackson and the Olympians" is also interesting, it is a Hollywood flick, more suitable for youngsters but still enjoyable.
I have always like greek mythology and have read a lot of the stories when I was young. Their lineage is a bit too confusing to remember, heeheee.

There are 2 versions ?? I gotta see the other one. what's the other version's name ?
greek myth always make me confused because their stories jump from one side to another side, but that's what makes it interesting.
I haven't watched Earthsea and Odyssey. I'll definitely watch them THX :)

hello, just checked your profile and you are 17 years old! No wonder you haven't seen the old one
That was in 1981, but it has been repeatedly shown in the TV in my country. You might find it a bit bland and slow going, and a bit fake given the technology at that time but the storyline was really good and I like the little owl. It wasn't given much attention in the new version. :)
There are some shows on Hercules also, another greek hero, check out "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" (TV Series 1995–1999) but this is not as good, not much of a storyline, just a lot of fighting, emphazing on Hercules' strength.
Nice to be having this discussion with you, it really brought back a lot of good memories for me.

I remember reading Percy Jackson's fifthe book 3 times. I never get bored reading it, because they really present greek mythology in modern life clearly.

I am not fanatic about Greek methology.
I am not even familiar with the Greek philiosophers.
It is that topic which I am not knowledgeable about.

I got interested in Greek mythology when I first saw Clash of the Titans on the big screen. Yes, this was the original version which starred Harry Hamlin as Perseus. It scared and amazed me at the same time, as a young child. Then in highschool, a required reading for English literature subject was The Odyssey. I thought it was a boring read at first, but when the story progressed, I could not put the book down. Greek mythology is unique in itself. The central characters are gods and demi gods that influence the lives of mortal men both in good and bad ways.
