what is a social climber to you?

hmmm...i had this chinese cousin who got mad after i deleted her from my fb list of friends and she sent my bf a message saying i am so ugly and such a social climber.
my bf laughed at it and asked me what exactly is social climber because it doesn't really exist in their language.
i deleted my her because i was pissed off with her so demanding comments on my fb wall as if she owns me and directs my life. she's acting like her parents trying to mess around my family.

For me social climber is feeling rich even if not, or trying hard to become rich although its impossible. Or just acting, dressing, or living like a rich even if not. That's what I think the meaning of it. Cause I always hear that words. They used it as like idiomatic expression. I also delete that cousin of yours if I'm in your situation.
