When are we gonna stop depending on "MONEY"?

money addiction - when do we stop

Hello lotters, I just want to make this discussion ever since that scene from Star-trek: first contact Money, money, money I know that there's something that money can buy.but that is just something and not everything. Everyday in our lives we depend on money for purchasing things, buy and rent a house, pay bills, date you're partner, feed and education for kids and lots lots more. Is it me, or we have come depended or centred most of our lives in money.when are we gonna stop depending on it? when we are rich have much much more money, but still you get to use money and do every thing you like (even fold it into a flying paperor paper boat) Have we become addicted to it? In my opinion, the moment we DIE is the time we are released from our dependant on money. you can't purchase stuff when you're dead. unless you sell you're soul to Satan, which doesn't give you much of a money reward there.

is true that money has become the main need in someone's lives. bcs even we say money isnt everything bcs sure there are more important things like love^^ money is still like the center of the world bcs we need money to eat, to drink, to buy anything, to have a house even. i wish money wasnt that important but the truth is that without money there isnt much you can do really :( we need it in our lives :( but wish that soon things change^^

Hello sweet, but love involves dating and courtship. such tradition involves money because we get to go to malls, places of dating. or in your case, charging money just to call on or text each other.damn capitalism probably it won't end unless our civilization ends some day. it would be possible if the system changes. but am not sure if communism is good either

i agree with" the moment we DIE is the time we are released from our dependant on money." it is because when we live we always have some needs to fill, thus we need money to buy some needs. the things that make us addicted is we always want more and more. that is the one thing we should control

hello ifa, you're correct, control is the essence of preventing ourselves from becoming too much greedy. not to mention, we should also give back by donating to charities and feeding those who are poor and helpless.. if we die rich, then there's nothing worth of our lives only but money

Hi sweetie. I don't think we will ever stop depending on money. As the saying goes. Money makes the world go round and fools play with it. We need it for essentials in life, but it won't make you happy and it cannot buy love, affection and whatnot. You should see the people's faces when i make a little airplane with money. I am sure they will start crying soon. As for the devil, he doesn't own my soul, he owes me too much. TATA.

hello saphrina, well, i have no intention of selling my soul just for infinite choices in life.well, there's no love at all if we chose to have it with money. personally i don't think a girl can take me seriously if i persuade her with money instead. hahaha am sure those people won't hesitate to get it. but you can try making airplanes on play money

We will meet one day sweetie. Then i will show you how to play with money, okay. If girls don't take you serious it's their loss. They won't know a good thing if it hit them on the forehead, you know.

i don't think we could live well if without money in our life in all over the world . if no dollars. no cny , and others .but we could have other things for money . so we could not change the money 's use in the world , we need money to live for life. and we need something to get what we want . so this is impossible for no money of life.

we are all depend with money, foe without money we wont have food on the table, and just like dominoes everything follows after that. before when i was younger most fathers work but now that i am older and have my own family it is hard if the only person that works is the father. when i was young in a family there are 5 or more children but now it lessens to 3 or two child per family. funny that in the areas where there are poor people they have more children and they will complain mahirap ang buhay. i only have one child and still we need to calculate our budget so we wont get over board, sometimes we need to depend on pautangs if we have any emergency needs.

Hello seven, I believe the REAL problem with those people is they lacked EDUCATION. because if they are all educated, they won't be risking having too many children since they don't think much of the consequences. not to mention, they aren't qualified for jobs.most poor people believed that if they have more kids, then soon their lives will be lifted. but that doesn't happen to all poor people.

I think that it would really be difficult to live without money. In today's world, a lot of things require money. And it is difficult to have things without that. As much as it might be easier to not have to deal with money, I just don't really see how this is possible at all. It's unfortunate, but it's the world that we live in. The reality that we live in, for the most part.

Hello dodo, Yes, it is todays world, probably since the day trade was invented.well, people need to have and start a good business not only to employ people but to have money through profit. i wonder, how can we make a positive reality since we normally makes positive out of the fantasy

Actually, I've given this some thought. It seems that we need money, no matter what kind of lifestyle we have or want to have. Even "living off the land", hunting, fishing and foraging for food, we need money. We need to buy the things needed to do the hunting, fishing, etc. Wherever we live, we will need to pay someone for the right to live there. Even if we're given some land where we can hunt and fish, we still need to pay taxes on this land every year. We need to buy the knives, fish hooks and line, pots to cook in, etc. There's always some reason, however small, to need money. Maybe not a lot of money but we definitely do need some. It is a shame because I would love to live off the land. I prefer the "natural" lifestyle over big-city living. I have to agree with you about dying before we ever stop needing money. Of course, those we leave behind will need money to bury or cremate us after we die so it would be a good idea to have that money put aside so our loved ones aren't burdened with that extra expense. So, there again, we need money even to live a completely natural lifestyle.

Hello mentalward, there are two kinds of things that we are dependent mostly. first is money, second is technology. even though i think i can be crazy i'd prefer going back to the caveman times. it seems that simplier life was bit better back then. I've always wanted to live alone independent with out techology and money. just my crops, fish, and livestocks.

We will always need money in our lives, this is a fact that we cannot escape because no matter how simple our existence is and how frugal we are, cash is still needed to fulfil even our most basic needs. I agree that when we die is when that need for income will disappear along with our body. There is a difference between depending on money for survival and being addicted to it. Being addicted to making more and more dollars would mean ignoring our bigger riches like our health, our children and our loved ones...

Hello paula, yes, that's true i hate it when we are always dependent on having money. people lose their integrity, honesty and dignity only for the sake of it just to survive.well, health is wealth. if you're rich but sick with no cure, what's the point, only to give it back to the people.

Yes, most definitely. I mean, we live in a capitalistic society..What can you really expect besides that? I think we are all obsessed with money - the poor, the rich, so on. For me, I have a hard time not thinking about it - it's always on my mind! And it's not like I have a lot of it or anything, it's more like: how am i going to pay the bills? what will my next paycheck look like? how much money can i allocate here, there, and to that other thing? And so on. Our whole lives revolve around money. A lot of us work 8-9 hours a day (or more) just to make some money to keep our houses, keep our creditors at bay, and so on. I kind of wonder what a world would be like without any kind of currency. (Although I'm pretty sure that that will NEVER EVER EVER happen. lol.)

We depend so much on money because it helps us in getting the things we need. When we can find better ways to get the things we want and need, money will not seem as important to us.

Hello sender, oh, yes it does. how can we not think of money if we can't buy them off. you know i've been trying salvage some of the old stuffs in the house that can use again. not to mention they are still resuable. probably if i did have too much money i can just buy a new one and let the old stuff rot in the basement/stock room

I don't think I can consider myself addicted to money. I'm dependent on it I admit because it's the only medium of exchange. How can I provide for my son, eat, buy health supplements, clothing, housing, utilities, etc if I don't have money? I say I'm not addicted because I don't long for it, I don't obsessed for it and I only spend on useful things, nothing extravagant.

hello toniganzon, well, you have a kid and you do need to have money to provide support for him. i pay for utilities and credit card bills most of the time, sometimes it is we who are making these companies rich as we become poor and bankrupt outselves. i don't spend on extravagant things too since we have to be more practical.
