I got a Rex bunny 2 years ago. She's a really cute bunny that I bought from the realible pet shop. I typically feed her with pangola grass and general rabbit food. Also give her some vitamins too. Last month I played with her and saw something that totally looked like pimples on both of her legs. They were huge.. so I poke (err.. touch.. I meant..) on them. Then the cheesy pus came out!! eww.. My mom was around there too, and she didn't think it was pus!! you know.. it looks totally just like you press your acne and the fat came out like a cream with no smell. Whatever, I cleaned her legs, put the medicien, took her to the vet. I waited for the result til the vet asked me did I clean the cage? (hey, I clean the cage everyday and give my bunny a bath too) Anyway, it was end up with my bunny got bandages on her legs after the little surgery (get the pus out). The bunny's hard day, isn't it? So, After came back to my place I wash her cage with anti-infective to make sure the cage is clean!! I have to bring her to the hospital for pet about one week. Well, if you don't want your beloved bunny got pimples on its legs. Please make sure where rabbits spend thier life is quite ultraclean!!!

yuck but poor bunny. anyway abscesses aren't necessarily caused by you not keeping your rabbit clean enough - all sorts of things can cause them. stress is a quite common cause. she'll need antibiotics to clear the infection - is that what the vet gave you?
