A little fun family interaction...
Naomi came out of the bathroom this morning, "Cary did you stop up the downstairs toilet again?"
Cary proudly replied, "ayah!"
Dearra gave me a look and said, "I will never understand boys."
I've got to get me one of those fancy plungers:

Do you have a fancy plunger? Or the old fashioned kind?

Living by myself, I need ALL the assistance I can get!!! So, I have one just like your picture...fancy I guess. I find it has a LOT of power behind it & works very well!!!! If it doesn't work on the first plunge, I plunge 3-4 times real quick & VOILA...clear & working once again!!! I even have a small one like it for my bathroom sink & a medium one for the kitchen sink. Our sink at work was stopped up & 10 brave men couldn't get it open. I brought in my plunger & 2 minutes later ALL was well once again!!!! Of course, I bruised a few egos by outdoing the guys!!!!

I NEVER had luck with the old timey cup one. I was in Walmart one day & saw the one you showed. I thought "hmmmm....there's room for air in there". It was on sale for $2.00 & I felt I had nothing to lose if it didn't work. So I bought it & tried it. I LOVED it!!! I keep it sitting next to my toilet & if I notice an overflow building up, I grab it & my problem is solved BEFORE I have a disaster!!!! My carpet nas NEVER once gotten wet since I bought it!!!! I found the small one at one of the Dollar stores...don't remember which one. It works GREAT for my sink. Definitely got my $1.00's worth there too!!! I forget where I found the medium sized one. I haven't needed it many times & can only assume it works as well as the other 2. I will warn you that when you use the toilet one to keep holding it over the toilet until it has drained because it sucks a good bit of water up into it & can make a mess if you're not careful. I believe even the child that backs up everything could use the one you showed!!!!

I have one, it was the only one at the store when we needed one. It broke after using it twice.

We just have the old fashion kind. I got the fancy ones and they just didn't seem to do as good a job. I never will understand why Hubby can eat the same amout as I do and when it comes to the end of it's journey it has so much more volumn.

Can’t say I plunge all that much but I do have one somewhere but there is nothing fancy about it! I wish my sister had one because a couple of weeks ago I did the clogging and no amount of flushing would get rid of the ‘evidence’! I was so embarrassed with it not being my own toilet and all...I just kept going in and flushing until it eventually went. I had to others from going in and that was the hard part!

I will try and convince him, but most likely it's going to be "good luck with that"...

I drink over two litres a day. Not difficult in this heat. If he drank a glass of water as he woke (room temp.) he would not be blocking up toilets

Rarely need to use one these days. Prefer using a bunch of chemicals that dissolve the stuff and clear the drains......
FYI - Plunger rubbers come in a multitude of colors including red, black, blue, green. Have seem some plumbers/janitors use cloth bunched in a particular way to clean off drains faster than a plunger can.

And yes, often a lot of boiling water followed by ice chilled water also does the trick in the case of small drain blockages.

Maybe that's why there was a "full" toilet in my dream this morning... I was visiting you!

The old fasioned one! The new fancy one doesn't look like it would work as well on my bathtub drain! I live by myself so I don't have the toilet plugging up problem! My plunging problems have to do with the bathtub drain! It plugs up all the time! The plunger is the only thing that works! I have used liquid drain opener and baking soda with vinegar! None of that works! Only the plunger!

I have one of the fancy plungers but find that the standard old fashioned one does a better job.

Knock on wood, never had to use one.
We have the newer model as I couldnt find the old model when we moved here but havent used it yet and Sorry but I wont block my toilet just so you know if it works well or not. Hubby also has a snake (not a real snake) but its tucked away in a box.
I remember when it happened at work once and the janitor used some kind of very noisy machine to unclog it. Maybe thats what you should get lol

Wo! Now that's a plunger! It looks like something you'd expect to see in a star wars film except for the fact that they seem to have eliminated the need to evacuate their bowels and bladder...much the same as most movies actually.
I don't really like plastic...I'll stick to the old wooden handled rubber job thanks

We have the old fashioned kind...however we haven't needed to use it ever since the kids realized they don't keep to use an entire roll of toilet paper every time they use the toilet.

I've just got one of the old fashioned ones at my house. I do have to admit that I've been using it way too often lately. I don't know why it is but all of the kids in the neighborhood have decided that my bathroom is the bathroom of choice after school and they will come down to the house and use my bathroom. I haven't pinpointed exactly who it is, but there is one of the kids that is plugging up the toilet and I will get to the bottom of it so to speak.
