Christmas is only a few months away and I am starting to think about gifts for my family and friends. I like to make homemade gifts as I feel they come from my heart, but I've noticed some people do not appreciate a home made gifts at all. They think you are cheap to give home made gifts. In all actuality home made gifts can be just as expensive to make as buying a gift and take a lot more work and thought. I am curious what everyone's opinion is on home made gifts. Do you like them? Do you give them? Do you prefer a store bought gift?
I usually give homemade gifts to the young children and adults and store bought to the older children and teens (As I can't make video games etc.) The small children I make toys or books for and the adults I usually make stuff like homemade jams and wine and cookies for.
Thanks much and have a great day!

I love to give and receive homemade gifts. these are the gifts that are given with love. A gift shouldn;t be about the expense. it should be about the thought in that gift.

I always make home made gifts as opposed to store bought gifts. The only exception will be my husband's Nintendo Wii that he really wants. I have started making my niece and nephew's gifts (they will be getting a story book with their names in it). I will be launching my online business this weekend and cannot wait. I love home made gifts because they are made with love and love has no price tag on it.

i love homemade gifts. i think because the kids used to always make me things when they were little and i miss that. my one daughter still does that and i like it lots. shes made me dolls, like bought a cheap doll then crocheted clothes for it, etc. when i collected dolls. i can make jewelry but then i have to ship them and its easier to write a check. oh well.
