On an average day, about how much TV do you watch?
When I worked full-time I would watch at least 3 to 4 hours of TV a night. That was it, weekends were different.
But since I stay home now, I notice my television is on from at least 9am until 11pm at night.
I admit I'm not always watching, but it is always on. Out of that amount I think I watch maybe 6 or 7 hours of TV a day. I know that is a lot, but when the house is clean and laundry is done, there is nothing else to do. Unless I'm on mylot that is!

I want about an hour or two, sometimes four. Usually it's the same movie over and over again as I write, especially Something Gotta Give, My Cousin Vinny, and Monk. I don't have cable so I'm more of a movie girl, although I'm getting into Vuze.

For me weekly I would have to say 2-3 hours a day but only after my chores are done.I prefer to be at my computer though because with tv I easily get sleepy and before I know it I'm snoozing on the couch wasting away the day.
At least at my computer the only thing that happens to me when i am online to long is that I see HUGE black spots and my butt gets sore. ok..maybe i can deal without the black dots.. but other than that i'm good.

Hahaha, at your bum gets sore. Me too. My legs usually ache after a while. Black dots do appear but then I take a break. Like I stated I have the TV on all day while I;m on the computer so I guess my vision is just going anyway, haha.
Thanks for responding.

I watch tv mainly of a night time with my husband, when the children are all in bed.I am not always watching the tv when it is on,as i get on my netbook and do all the usual sites that i like,so i would say that i may look up at the tv every now and again. Our tv is on all weekend from 7am until at least 1am,during the week it is on mainly of evening and night time.

I agree. I randomly look up from the computer when the TV is on. Unless I am dedicated to watching a program. But I'm the opposite here. My g/f works during the week so the TV is always on. The weekends it is rarely on since we are always out and about enjoy our only time together.

I hardly ever watch TV. Even if I get cable, I still wouldn't bother turning on the switch and I'm glad I'm not really hooked to it. But I do get on the computer on some of my spare time. I only like watching a few shows, mainly just one anime and 'The office'. That's about it.

I do tend to turn the tv on when i get up and then its on when i get back from work... as my wife seems to leave it on whilst shes busy cleaning the house and looking after the kids. They have the odd kids channel on when my sons not at school but i think its probably being watched about 6hrs at the most properly in a day, just left on the rest.

Hi,
On average I spent about 2-3 hours a day in
TV programme. I don't watch TV much now because I
just don't have the time to do so.
Last time before I have my son, I have more free time and I can
watch TV anytime I want. But after the arrival of my son,
my free time is pretty limited and I can only watch TV on certain
time when I am free.

I am not into TV programs .To some extent ,i am an internet worm .It is quite common for me to sur online for more than 7 hours a day .Sometimes i can't figure out what to do online ,i just like to hang out on some websites such as mylot ,computer forum etc. Although i know it is harmful to spending too much time in front of my computer ,i am not able to leave it .Maybe it is time for both of us to get out of our houses and enjoy wonderful life .Have a nice day !

Hi, Bey, I have to say that I work at a television, I prepare news. So I watch a lot when I work but this doesn't count. A part of this, at home, my tv set is not turned on all the time. Unless I don't find a good movie or program, I prefer do other things. And my 24 year old daughter stays with her computer and ignore the TV.

As I have no TV already for 8 years now, my daily watching time is 0 hours. If there is something what I really want to see, I find videos in the Internet.
But I don't like watching at all, I better prefer reading books because I think sitting in the front of a screen is too passive form of spending my time. Reading demands more activity, it's more or less a kind of work while TV watching is just a form of relaxing. When reading a novel, I can imagine all the persons and events by myself, I can create my own world. On the contrary, a TV offers me images which are already "packed". I can't train my imagination this way - I just have to accept the "food" they are feeding me through the screen.

I am busy with my profession , so I have no time for TV at day time. After my duty I like sit before TV specially for viewing news. Other than new I like to view some important programs. My favorite program is wild life documentary. So I view program of discovery , animal planet and national geography channel. My time schedule of viewing TV in working day is limited 1 to 1 and half hrs. But in the off day I like to watch vintage film. So my time for TV in off day is increased.

I seldom watch TV now. Mostly, the TV set at my home is off all day. I go back home late at night and leave early in the morning, so there is no time for me to watch TV. But sometimes I go back home a little bit earlier, and I would turn on the TV set and watch some international news as I'm doing something else, like doing body stretching, at the same time.
I think if I stay at home for more time, I may watch it more. But if you can get access to the Internet, you use TV less.
