Are you set in your ways, stubborn???? Do you think you are always right, refusing to change?? Is your view always right regardless of what others think or say?? Do you demand others think and act like you do?? Could it be that you are a know-it-all?? Are you PIGHEADED?? This might describe such a person but I don't know where they get that name. I think pigs are cute with that button nose and curly tail. Bar-B-Que wouldn't be the same without them unless you are a vegetarian. We can all be pigheaded at times. Though people might think they are wise, the lack of reason in them shows there is little thinking really going on. Can we really attain great wisdom just by feeling?? So many times, religion uses your feelings to shape you toward their way of thinking. God doesn't really want that. God wants us all to be able to reason it all out in spite of any feelings. So how can you change a pigheaded person?? They don't really listen, do they?? If a person hears something said enough times, a person will believe it regardless of whether it is true or not. So many religions depend on this fact. That's why they go over and over their holy books and views. It's a kind of Brainwashing. Do you know someone brainwashed by religion to where they no longer think just recite memorized phrases?? Oh, they'll never change!! I've heard it said a million times. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. Is it all true?? Life is about learning and growing as people. Change is a part of that regardless of how we feel. When I interact with people, I try to simply point them in the right direction. I might not be the one who changes them but just have a hand in it. In time, people do change. Funny thing is that they almost always think it was all their idea . Pigheaded?? That isn't really the important thing, now is it?? In conclusion, interact with as many people as you can. Point them in the right direction. Give lots of love and kindness. If we all do this, somehow we will all get to where we need to be in spite of all our Pigheaded ways.

God is not a belief. I know God exists through my contact with Him.

Isn't discovery up to each of us???? If all the knowledge in the universe was just given to us, how much wisdom would we have??? I can give you a starting point by which you can start your own journey. All the secrets of the universe surround us all. How long did mankind watch birds fly before they figured out how?? God's actions are all around us. Can you see?? The more you understand; the more you will see God and the genius behind it all. Everything does add up. New discoveries generate new ideas and more doors to open. They will lead to God's door. It's all a test of intelligence. Who can discover? Who wants to discover?? No one really follows to God's door. You would just be confused by the experience taking short cuts. It's all in the JOURNEY!! There is lots to learn, see, and understand. Look deeply for real answers run deeper. There is intelligent life far exceeding mankind. That is why so few really understand God. That includes religions. Lose the narrow view. All mankind carry such a narrow view. I must work on mine everyday.

Well, according to the Bible, God is pigheaded too! The bible tells how fearsome, how filled with anger and wrath, and how jealous God is. Then in another chapter we read about a loving God, who tends his flocks, and brings every lamb into the fold! The problem here, The Great Conflict is, only a pigheaded God could, or would be two faced! We must believe that either he is a Loving God, willing to forgive, or he is vengeful, jealous, furious, filled with wrath, and all the while, demanding to be Worshiped. As my Grandfather used to say," This is enough to turn a dog from the gut-wagon!"

I am glad to see you are THINKING. Sad that so many of religion's followers aren't. God is beyond the petty things of mankind. God is nothing like what religion teaches. God is much smarter than that. Got to keep the light in people's eyes. Keep the high reason for everyone to see. Even if they do not see right away, some will in time. I understand your dog. One can only stomach stories just so long then one must discover the real truth. It's sad more haven't reached the high thinking of that dog. I guess there are lessons in that as well. Thanks for all your comments!!

Hello my name is Sarah and I and I am proud to be stubborn. But Just because I am stubborn doesn't mean I Think Everyone Must see things my way or that I'm a know it all.All it means is No one can make me think or do anything I am not ready to do.When I find a method that works for me , I'll rather do it that way than the " correct" or a new way. Change is good for some and I agree with change for the better but I won't change Just to change. I may be rare but I do keep my mind open to new ideas and I will listen but I will still be stubborn to mu core. True you can tell me over and over that a new method will be better but if I don't feel comfortable with it , I will do things the " hard" way. Some may see this as a vice or a hang up I Must change about myself but I am proud of being stubborn . it is one of my best trait!

One must also keep in mind that change can be a good thing. Are we so sure of our ways that we never question them??? Life is about learning and growing as people. Change will always be a part of that. Stubborn?? I think most people are to some extent. One must always be open for new ideas. Only a narrow view is the result if one isn't able to view beyond a single point. Where would the world be today if no one ever had ventured beyond their comfort zone???? It would be a much different world than we live in today. Thanks for all your comments!!

Change can be good and one Should be open to new things but i think one needs curiosity. Without it, A person Will remain narrow. I am curious to a point. So I hope I have a good balance between Stubbornness and being open.

Is it pigheadedness to believe the eyewitness accounts of historical events? Or is that only when the word, "Religion," is attached? Would you call it, nothing more than feelings, if someone declared his knowledge of God and His wisdom but could give no evidence of his belief?

What historical event (before the invention of cameras and the radio) can you name for me, that has a million different views? How do we test the accuracy of eyewitness accounts for events before cameras and electrical recordings? I don't have any problem with someone declaring his knowledge of God. My problem is when that person is questioned but refuses to revel an answer. It makes me wonder if his knowledge of God, "Simply isn't true." I have the ability to see the shape of the earth. God, for non believers, is trickier, and your refusing to share your knowledge comes across as dishonest.

Are you saying I have refused to answer you????? Maybe you just don't like my answers because they do not fit in with your view of God. As far as history goes, every war is given from the view of the victor. How many views of the war exist??? In the USA, history paints this country's early leaders as being really great men yet we hear of them owning slaves and having children with their slaves. Views left out of the history books. I think you like things served up to you on a plate just like religion does.True knowledge must be earned. It does take a bit of thinking and work. I know I have shown you the starting point. Discovery rests in your hands. Like all our choices in life. It shows the world who we are and what we need to learn. It is a test of intelligence. You must walk on your own to God. It is the only way to really connect. It is the only way to be real. When you are ready, you will understand.Use the high intelligence I know you are capable of. Look around you. What do you see??? All the secrets of the universe are staring at you. God is not hiding anything. Thanks for all your comments!!

If you have an event in time where you have a million viewers, don't you get a million different views of the same thing??? Sure a few views will always be alike however there will be differences to the extreme and back. One should question which view is actually the truth. Because many are alike does not guaranty the truth. There is nothing wrong with those who declare their knowledge of God. Since so much that is told about God simply isn't true, one must question and search for answers themselves. Some things must be discovered on our own such as truth about God. I can tell you that the world is flat and you might just believe it. It's not until you discover it for yourself that you know the world is not flat. Thanks for all your comments!!

It's not easy to convince people that you've wrote here, because they always believed in themselves alone. They think they're always right and that they know it all attitude is already plastered in their pinch size brain. About religions that memorized just 2-3 phrases from the Holy Book and saying it again and again...well,those kind of people are too pitiful that they're being brainwashed by those so-called pastors. GOD has given us our own FREEWILL...we don't need to act or have that "Pighead" to prove our intelligence or to defend what we believed in. WISE MEN are those Good Listeners and not just Good Speakers.

Very Good!! Wise men are good listeners. Great comment. Be sure to point those pigheaded people in your life in the right direction. Like I said, you might not change them right away, however truth has a way of getting in over time. You might not be around to see the change but that doesn't matter. Moving a few grains of sand at a time, one can move a mountain. Of course those brainwashed ones need extra help. Keep the light in their eyes if they are ever able to see what is going on. Every person you see and meet in your life is an aspect of yourself that life is showing you. The world is a giant mirror constantly reflecting what goes on in within our souls. Before trying to change that person who is 'pigheaded', how about trying to see what aspect of yours he/she is showing you by his stubbornness, character, habits, traits, opinions, views, etc? The greatest change happens when we change ourselves. It's better to change people by example and influence by changing yourself than trying to change other people. It's more safe I'll also think. Naturally, we resist change even when its for our own good. Change means developing new brain cells to view things or the world in a different perspective. However, our rigid and safe worldviews or comfort zones use all that in their power to fight this change! However, gradually people do change. Pride is mostly the main reason people don't want to change. How will they appear to their peers, mates, and to society when they change their views or opinions especially if they are leaders or people of high standing or influence in the society. The EGO is mankind's worst enemy I presume...

Yes, Ego does play an important factor in those problems. Our actions and choices do reflect that which we need to learn. The fix surrounds us through the interaction with others.Life is a path toward improvement.Understanding has depth which can not be acquired with just the surface of things. One must also realize with the dynamics of this world, our interaction with others is also the fix for others as well as for ourselves. One should never avoid interaction because of drama for so many times, drama is where all the learning takes place. Thanks for stopping by with all your comments.
