Do you often preview your comments here before posting?

Ever since I joined myLot, I never make a preview on my comments and discussions because I find it super time consuming, there was one time I attempted to preview my discussion and comment and oh boy it took several seconds before I was brought again to the page!I mean it was super delayed and I was annoyed, so since then I never attempted to preview my discussion and comments so sometimes I ended up committing too many grammar mistakes hehehehe.

Hi! I don't normally preview my response here in mylot discussions. At first, when I was still a newbie here I used to preview my response but I noticed that it will just consume my time so what I did was to re-read my response before posting it. The only drawback is -there are times when typographical errors or missed out words can no longer be corrected or inserted because once the response are already posted you can no longer edit them. :D I think we had the same predicament and I feel ashamed when I see grammatical errors in my post hehehe. :D

I'm guilty of not doing this all the time. But when I feel that I posted a comment that is important or I gave it a substantial answer, I make it a point to preview it. And whenever I do so, I really find some grammatical and typographical errors in it. I think it really should be a must to review our comments before hitting the "post response" button so that our readers would better understand our message.

Me, too I often feel guilty because sometimes I committed grammatical errors, so I will just make a follow-up comment below for my error.

you actually waste more time correcting and explaining than if you had edited and cleaned it up first.

I always do, in fact I type all my responses on to Word, spell check it and paste it on MyLot. Yes it does take w lot longer but I can’t help wanting to see what I’ve posted and to make sure it is as correct as possible, mind you I have made spelling mistakes before despite all my checking (LOL)!

Wow, that's pretty amazing! This is a good habit for mylot members because you always make it sure it is grammatically wrong, which I felty guilty often times as I don't have to preview my comments so I ended up committing too many readable errors, so I will just have to post a follow up correction below my comment.lol!

I will only preview what I am writing in the window where I am typing to check and see if there are any blaring spelling errors. Most of the time there really aren't too many of them, but there are times that I do catch myself spelling something terribly. That said, I think that it really is a pain in the behind to take the time to preview the response before you go ahead and post it, I'm all about doing things quickly.

Thank you maam. I do agree with you, me too, often do this procedure to check if there are many spelling errors, but most often than not I will just hit post comment right away to save time.

Thank you for your response. We've the same feeling, it's a bit time consuming if I will hit the preview comment, so I'll just post my comment directly to save time and to answer many discussions before I would work on another task.

No in reality i never check the preview funtion when i post here on mylot!!May be in some cases it would be useful also to check some grammar or words that you can type not in a correct form..but anyway in general i post and stop without preview.

I don't normally preview it unless by accident or when I've got a super long reply, I want to make sure it's spaced well enough that people can actually read it without being brain damaged, other than that, my short posts don't really need a preview.

yeah i have same problem of time. so i do not preview my posts any more since it takes up a lot of time. but it is wise to preview since we know what spelling and grammar mistakes we have made. now i just try to read while i write in the discussions to ensure that i do not make any mistakes. just to let you know while replying to this discussion i made 3-4 mistakes and revised them before submitting without previewing it.

Nope, what is the point. I've accidentally lost messages by doing that. I use firefox so I don't have to worry about spelling issues. It underlines the words I misspell right away so that I can take care of it.

No, I never. You're right, it is time consuming. Even I wonder why we should still add 'tag', why don't mylot just put that below our post form? Sometimes, it needs some minutes for me to load the page. Sometimes there is 'bad request'. I still can't copy paste my own post, since my rank is less than 500. So, I just be patient coping with such situation. I rewrite and rewrite again!

I never preview my comments too because it's time consuming and it took several minutes before my computer will load. I also experience the bad request thing so sometimes I won't put any tag.

I never preview my comments. After I have typed it I usually look it over to see if there are any mistakes and if it makes sense. If there is anything wrong, I make the changes and then post it. Sometimes I forget, but that is what I usually do!

Yes, I do take good care to see that my replies and comments are free from grammar and spelling mistakes. If you are using Mozilla Firefox then it does take care of your grammatical errors.

I almost never preview anything. If I have a doubt about my grammar/redaction, I simply re-read it from the edit box again, I don't need any preview for this. The only real use I find for it is if I use any styles, or icons on it, to be sure I don't make a mistake with the MyLot Code.

No I did never make use of that "Preview Response" feature while adding comments or replying to discussions as I do not think that I make any mistakes while writing or posting in discussions. It can happen a few times that mistakes occur while writing fast and we do not tend to realize it then. But anyways I do not preview them as it already takes longer to post that response, add tags and wait :D. So I don't think I would be using preview response option in the future as to waste more of my time in posting here :). That feature is handy though for many people here in mylot and its always a good option to have that button there :)
