Why are bakery boxes pink? How did that get started?

I dont think ive ever seen a pink bakery box here. They tend to be the same colours of the chain if itsa chain store like robins or tim hortons. OR if they are a small bakery then they tend to be white, grey or brown here. I think it really depends on the supplier or colour they choose to buy here.

I don't know if they always are. Here where I live I don't think I have seen almost any pink boxes, most are white or blue, for some reason. So maybe it is a regional thing?

I have never thought about why bakery boxes are pink. Maybe it is for their product to stand out in your eyes more. the next time I visit a bakery I will have to ask them why their boxes are pink. i wonder if they will know the answer.

I think it's likely that you just happen to be familiar only with bakeries that use pink. Sometimes it's part of a brand, but most bakery boxes that I've ever seen are plain white. I imagine that other colors are also used, but white seems to be the one that most bakeries use.
