Many of us treat sunday as a family day as some of us still have work on saturdays... But I noticed that some of families don't go out on sunday anymore, instead they do it on saturday so that they still have time to rest which is sunday before before they go to work

Every day should be considered family day. Sunday just seems to be a day when family gets together more. Any day that a family can spend quality time together should be cherished.

i agree. everyday should be family day. i believe that no matter how tired you are from a day's work or whatever it is that kept you busy the whole day, we should always make an effort to give the best to our family. Our family should not settle for our "leftovers" --- it's the quality of time that matters anyway. Sunday is a special day because this is a day where we can start the day early by going to mass then spend the rest of the day spending special bonding moments with the family.

To me Sunday has always been a day that you spend time as a family,as the rest of the week people have jobs and other things that they have to commit to.They use to say that Sundays are aday of rest, but with our children it will never happen, lol.Thankfully i have a husband that do not have to work of a weekend,as he stopped the secon job that he did have,so that we have more family time together.

for me, Sunday is always a family day. it is important to have work-life balanced. it is not necessary for us to have a family trip on every Sunday, i like when all the family members are in the house, staying together, maybe we can have some movie or dinner together. that should be enough for me.

Sunday is just another day... nothing special. Family day should be everyday for a family to bond together.

I don't think so..most of the families don't even think about having a day out all together. Most people believe that sunday is the perfect day for relaxing to be ready for the next week. They don't have any free time so..they think that sunday is a day for theirselves. :D

I do.
Although it seems to be something that not all families do now, I used to spend most Sunday's with the company of my parents and grandparents when they was alive. I think it's nice to have a day at least once a week you can all get together and do something. I often call my parents daily, sometimes at least four times a day just to stay connected.
It would be a shame if the tradition of Sunday was to disappear.

My family is not religious and we've never gone to church. So Sunday doesn't really have any special meaning for us. But we do have a regular Sunday tradition! Every Sunday me and my boyfriend, my parents and my boyfriend's parents all take our dogs for a long walk in the park together. It's a nice time for all of us to bond, and for our dogs to bond as well! The only reason we do this on Sunday is because it's the day that fits all of our work schedule's the best! It's a lot of fun and is something we all look forward to doing together every week!

Sunday was always a big day at our house. We usually had our big meal of the week on Sunday after church. I guess my mom and dad still do that some. It's kind of a big deal for us (now grown) kids to come have Sunday dinner with them! However, it was really different when my kids were growing up...

There is no particular day as a family day for me.
Sunday we spend our time (me and my kids) in church for hours.
Saturday is my usual household chores day (the whole day, doing laundry and cleaning the house which i can not do on weekdays)
So,mainly after church if given some spare time,me and my kids go out ,dine and have some bonding moments.
But even weekdays (usually at night, when we have time or we're in the mood,we drive some place where we can eat late dinner and have some laugh and fun)
My kids are young teeners so,they love going out and we like to go out in the evening, with less heavy traffic and much better weather as well.
have a great weekend

For me yes but I seldom do that because every time we have time together it is a family day.

I think families have evolved with the times today, where as everyone either is way too busy and or simply can't afford to do the things they would like to be doing as a family.
However, what families do not understand that absolutely any quality time together is priceless. As families we must spend time together as tomorrow is just not promised.

Normally my family members spend time together every Saturdays. All of us have grown up some already have their own family. So we took the opportunity to gather every Saturdays at our parents house. Most of the time we will be there from early morning to late night. Some time we go to the orchard, farm etc . We either have pot luck or BBQ session with our parent. Sunday is normally our church day. We attend our own parish. We seldom gather on Sunday because it the day we just do our own activities after church service.
