I remember when I was growing up there used to be lots of spooky TV around the end of October. programmes about hauntings, horror films, spooky things. it was brilliant and I loved it.
but UK TV has really let itself go.
there's almost NO dedicated halloween TV anymore, and every year we scour the listings for good horror films, and we're lucky if there's something on at about 2 in the morning on the day of halloween.
it's not fair. I miss the days of spooky TV in the run up to halloween, and you'd be lucky to find a horror film.
such a shame. and such a wasted opportunity.

if I'm at my mums, then yes, but it's all stuff I've seen before.
I tend to stay at my mums each weekend, and we all have a family get together, and halloween we do the same, so I'll probably take a few horror films round. my mums not seen let the right one in yet, so that's a good one.

Hi Snowy
Yes I really like watching scary movies in October its my favorite time to watch them because there are so many on because of Halloween
I really like the classics like the orignal Dracula with Bella Lagosi and Frankenstein with Boris Karloff I also enjoy the movies of the 70's and 90's not to into the 80's to many slash movies no real plot just a bunch of cutting people up but I did like the remake of THE THING with Kurt Russell that was really good
My all time favorite is the EXCORIST which to this day I am still to chicken to watch on my own

Yes, definitely! I've already started. I watched Deadline this evening, although I wouldn't recommend it. It wasn't that good. It stars the late Brittany Murphy. I'm running out of ideas for which ones to watch. I have Netflix, so I have a lot to choose from. But I don't like scary movies that are just stupid. Do you have any recommendations for me? Before Halloween I plan to watch Blair Witch 2, Let the Right One In (foreign), and 28 Days Later.

not sure. I really love the orignal poltergeist, but that has been on TV so many times. I was watching "The ""the other night, but I didn't really like it. It was hard to follow, but maybe I was just being inattentive.

Oh yeah, there are so many scary movies on the TV these days. Whenever I open the movie channel, the scary movie will come up. I watched one, and another one the next day, and that was it. No more, getting too scary ! So, I would then change to some other channel.

Two of my favorite movies are kind of more like suspense thrillers, but I really liked Magic and dressed to kill, older movies. I enjoyed intensity because I read the book.

I love to watch scary movies. I usually have to do it late at night after every one has gone to bed. My family does not like scary movies. So I am left watching them all by my self. For me it dont have to be close to Halloween to watch a scary movie. I love to watch them year round.

I always watch scary movies in October because that's pretty much all that comes on on TV. I enjoy watching them too because I am a scary movie addict.

Yes, I usually do like watching scary movies in October. I like watching movies with a theme related to Halloween or something, in October. I find that it's just the best time, especially with the atmosphere that is present. I find that it's just perfect. It's really something that I like doing.

I have always loved watching scary movies. They are something that i really do enjoy. I love the fact that you never really know what will happen next, the special effects that they can do now is out of this world. Love the fact that they are getting better and better. It isn't just a case of watching them when it is halloween, i watch them all year round but atleast when it is halloween then they do put a lot on tv at once and i love it.
