I remember when the Christmas items were put out in Novemember (that was a long time ago) it just seems to be getting earlier and earlier each year Last week I went to Home Depot and they had their Halloween decorations up and right next to them were the Christmas items now that was a first for me Retailers want you shopping earlier and earlier for the holidays but for me it takesa all the fun out of it although its very pretty and I do really like all the decorations its nice to give Halloween its month and seperate an aside from Christmas . I don't like shopping that early for Christmas The year before that I went to Ollies Outlet and they had their Christmas items out in Septemember! Along with Halloween as well way to early What are your views on this?

I've noticed this myself, I don't mind it so much because it gives you time to buy things in. I don't like shopping for Christmas food right near to the date, as the supermarkets get rammed and a few years back my mum wanted to go a few days before and we couldn't get around the store very easily and then got stuck in a Que for a few hours as everyone seemed to be buying large amounts. The thing I don't like is the places that put the decorations up, it sort of ruins it for me because it just seems wrong.

Yeah the grocery stores are ridiculous during the holdays Thanskgiving especially I like to go early for the non perishable things that I need most times I even buy my turkey a one or two weeks early and just put it in the freezer it tastes just as good once its cooked as a non frozen turkey,.although there have been a few years where I did wait till the last minute and bought an unfrozen one too

While I love the decorations and all, I, too, think it ruins the whole thing to have them up for months ahead of time. Fabrics and yarns, things like that, are different because people need to start making things early, but as much as I love Christmas, it gets tiresome so that by the time it really comes around, it has lost a lot of appeal.

Being that I have a birthday toward the end of November, I don't want ANYONE to be confused about my birthday and Christmas...

Well I do crafts and I for one am glad some of the stuff is out early....but I understand how you feel....let's celebrate one holiday at a time....Somehow Thanksgiving is skipped over as everyone waits for black friday....they could at least wait until that day.

Hi Jillhill Your right about that! Black Friday is what a lot of people look forward to but thats not to bad at least Thanksgiving is officially over by then but Thanksgiving is sort of overlooked like you said but thats probably always will be the case
