If someone did something wrong to you. Something that can affect and will do damage to your life. Would you ever think of getting revenge? I'm not talking of petty crimes here such as work rivalry or love related problems. But, crimes that shouting for justice....Something evil....
Sad part is Justice is so hard for most people. And the least they can do is pray to their god . While there are some who still insist of getting vengeance.
What do you think is the difference of getting Justice and getting Vengeance? I can only think that these two are the same.... We sometimes practice the saying " Don't get mad, but get even".... And we really want to get even...

I had a mother figure (Not my mom) who was very cruel sometimes. She would say awful things to me as a kid, like I was fat, ugly, etc etc. As I got older, part of me wanted to go back in time to smack her, but another part of me realized I needed to forgive her, and notice she was reflecting on her flaws not mine. I actually hurt for her now. Carl Jung said, "The healthy man does not torture others, generally it is the tortured who turn into torturers." Which is true. So I choose justice. Karma is my justice. Also, I know that I can heal from the words and damage she has caused me, but she does not RECOGNIZE that she has a problem, therefore she will live a life that to me, seems unfulfilled. It's quite sad.

That's a good principle in life. But, I really don't believe in Karma. I have witness lots of people who did evil things but still can get away with it. And they seem to live a happy life. Thanks, liblondiemjd..

To be extremely honest with things. Instead of justice, I would really want to take revenge. Justice doesn't do good for me if what that someone did is really an extreme act of inhumanity. I will only be satisfied if that someone feels the pain he had caused others.

That's an idealistic view for those who believe that law enforcement will do wonders by giving fair justice. However, in reality,, The Law only means expensive cost... Money to get justice....Thanks, sender621.

Hi sweetie.
Revenge is more suitable for me.
If it is something that can really influence my life or those of my loved one's, i will get my revenge, eventually.
It is always worth it.
Justice, never heard of fair justice, so vengeance is so much sweeter for me.
TATA.

I cannot agree for more. Fair justice does not exist. Vengeance would be more appropriate. Thanks a lot , saphrina...

I am not a direct vengeful person at all. The way I go about things is to kill people with kindness. When someone hurts my feelings I do not retaliate, normally I smirk and wish them well.
See this will get them to think one day of what an idi@t they were, maybe they will never apologize right but it will be deep seeded in their brain.

It sometimes works. However, there are people who have immunity with this kind of technique. They think the kindness you showed them is a form of fear and defeat. It would only make them feel that they're right. Thank you for sharing, hardworkinggurl.

Hi, your question is totally about me. And YES! I thought and still in my plans of getting revenge. Because what they did, it's not merely about affected and damaged my life but also taken away my dignity. And the sad thing, it's not happened to me only but some peoples previously without nobody able to complaint or fight due to some limitations. And it's happened repeatedly because it's what you said about Justice of being so hard, especially when a stronger authorisation or power who did bad to us taking the role.
However, what I'm doing and thinking now is I must get the fairness and my dignity back with a clean and legal way, which will consequently relate to them.
Honestly, I don't know yet how's the result will end up, but I really wish and pray they should feel what I felt (Vengeance) by working on any ways to get my fairness and dignity (Justice).
So I probably could summarize, Justice and Vengeance are like a short and long term goal, or a mission and vision.

Vengeance or Justice. I think vengeance comes from the anger, when you don't think before you act because you are out of control. Justice is Law. Go to court to try and sort things out.
I have noticed in my life time, that when someone really does me wrong, they get there share back more than double.
I don't have to waist my time with revenge. That would make me be like them.
It is true, I have seen people really get thrown off track. I believe they get punished for the wrong they had done me.
Sounds funny maybe. But I believe when you hurt someone on purpose, you will get it back much worse.
That is why I try to stay with my favourite sentence:
"Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you."

The Golden rule is a good principle to practice. However, it does not mean you'll be free from evil people. If something evil had been done to you, it's not easy to say that Justice will sort things out. It would always be vengeance. Thanks for sharing , Margajoe.

Hi, cajimenez!
I always believe that in the case of murder, rape, robbery and other personal injuries, giving criminals human right is trampling the right of innocent victims. But unfortunately a lot of hypocrites gives various reasons to prevent criminals from being given the pain they did give victims. That's why I support vengeance. Punishment under justice is too kind, it can neither console the victim's soul nor deter other people from committing similar crimes.

You're absolutely right. The problem with Justice is that Criminals knows more about their rights than their wrong. Thank you, quianyun.

Vengeance! Revenge!
I won't get justice if i don't get to revenge myself. That's life nowadays, if you're weak then you won't survive this life we have right now. People doesn't think that the life we have right now is already a survival, but i do.
Even is not enough for me, if someone started the situation then he owes me a lot more than just getting "even".

Justice for me is the same as revenge. I hate to see justice as a process of going to Court , charging expensive fees, all talks and nothing... Thanks, monsterfishlover.

Justice
All vengeance does is lead to more vengeance, therefore meaning more pain/problems. It takes that one bigger person in life to put a end to the fighting and "get even" the right way. If you have time on you hands I would suggest watching this movie, "Law Abiding Citizen" . It's exactly the thoughts of your question and I just want you to follow the storyline closely. It really spoke to me as I watched it.
Hopefully I helped out with your question!!

Yes, I had watch that movie too.. I don't approved his way of getting vengeance. But, you can't blame the character..Justice was denied on him... And it really happens in real life .. Thanks, CxStackz...
