Do you prefer cooking when there's a celebration?

Or would you rather go out and eat? Lately we've been eating out a lot and I tell you it's good... And now, my birthday is coming up and I wonder if will eat out to celebrate or if I will just cook and celebrate at home. How about in your family, do you eat or dine out when there's a celebration or you just cook and celebrate at home?

Most of the time, we celebrate it at home. :) My mom is a great cook, and all of our family member like the food she makes very much. And she is amazing, within a couple hours, there will be many kinds of dishes gathered on the table. And we usually have a great time when eating together at home and going the celebration.

on my birthday day,i wont cook in house,i just make cake for me and my husband. and for dinner we go out to famous restaurent in my place.in remaining days ,sometimes we go out for dinner .sometimes we go out to restaurent with friends also. mostly for parties in my house,i only prepare new dishes in my house on my own, sometimes my husband will help me in preparing non veg items. i like to make new varieties and put to my guests who comes to my house. i enjoy a lot to put food to others on my own.

I like to celebrate at home when there´s a birthday. I like to have my family and friends around and I could not invite them to a restaurant. Besides, home is homey. What I mean is that everyone is more free to do and say what they want. We can dance or talk after dinner. Ot we can do both. As for cooking, what I do in those cases is to cook beforehand and have a cold buffet plus a broth of some sort for the wee hours. My cooking can be done in part up tp 2 days before, so I´m not tired when the guests arrive. I place everything on the table, it´s selfservice. I don´t work at all after the dinner has been eaten. I tell my friends and family where to get the dessert and they serve coffee for the ones that want some. I love to eat out at a good restaurant (in fact I was treated to one this Saturday)but that was a 2 person diner. It can be tured into 4 or up to 6 people. But for more persons, you miss half of the conversations. And there are some things you don´t talk about at a restaurant. Take care!

This depends upon who would be invited. I love to entertain but I hate the expense and cleanup involved. I would rather be at someone's house though then a restaurant.

We always try to go out to eat in order to celebrate birthdays. The reason for this is because of the fact that my family doesn't really go out to eat a lot because we don't have a lot of money. So, it is really a nice treat to be able to go out to eat to celebrate birthdays and other milestones in our lives. In addition to that, it also reminds me of how rewarding it was to become a mother when my children were born, so it is a reward to me as well like it was when the kids were born.

I enjoy cooking. i love a chance to cook with a specific purpose in mind. What could be better than to cook for a celebration? My celebrations usually don't mean dining out. they are usually done at home with family gathered around. it is such a good feeling to have.

it always depends on the number of people. if its a small gatehirng then I don't mind cooking. i just hate the cleaning part , that's why i prefer eating out or ordering the dishes. in my state its always sweating thru out the year, so spending much time in the kitchen is like sitting inside a pressure cooker. . but personally i prefer home made food. even though there are good restaurants around, all of us prefer home made food.

Well, I do actually love to cook whether there is an occasion or not. But, it will entirely depend if I am in the mood, or not too lazy to do so. So, if I have the drive to cook meals, I do it. If not, I sleep and watch TV..
