a very touching movie story about family..

Hi dear myLotters, This afternoon I watched a Philippine (Pinoy) movie entitled Sa'yo Lamang, or in english it's " Your's Only" The movie is about a family. A broken one, because their father left them 10 years ago, and now is coming back to his family to start over again. The family consists of 4 children, the eldest being the breadwinner and took the responsibility since they have been left by the father. She found it hard to forgive her father that easily. Things have been rough to the family. The father was a womanizer back then, and the mother actually also had a past that their children didn't know about. The mother had a child from a different man. After which, the father left his family. promised his eldest that he'll be back, but he didn't for 10 long years.And now he's back.. To sum things up, the mother was diagnosed with cervical cancer, and it was on Stage 4 already. The eldest daughter was talking to the priest and was asking "why her mother??" her mother was almost too perfect, why does she have to suffer with an illness like that? The priest answered " You'll understand someday what the purpose of all these things that's happening.." So dear myLotters, on your opinion, what is the purpose of all the things that has happened to the family? Do you think their ending has been bad or good, since they've lost their mother?? I felt really sad because I felt that, the family was only beginning to mend the wounds caused by the disappearance of their father, and now, they had the chance, but their mother had to die with cancer.. I feel like they never had the chance to be a big happy family again.. But of course, God has His purpose for this and it's for them to understand about it.. I would like to know your opinion on this.. Thanks!
