I was just thinking about it. As a person in the line of architecture, we ought to have a portfolio, a compilation of our sample works, whether soft copy, online, or printed copies. For a beginner like me, I need it when I apply for jobs and stuff, but for a pro, it is to attract clients.
I don't know if other lines of work have sort of things. Does your line of work have one too?

i am not an architect but i think as regards job position like that is always a good start having your own portfolio of different works in this way it can be good for others understand the way you work and your style and so work relationship should be easier

Yes, it is really helpful, especially during job applications. Yes and you got it right, architects communicate through images and drawings, clients don't really understand the complicated part of building a house, the plans, calculations, and stuff, they mostly look at the renderings hehe.

Yes I do. :) I was a professional photojournalist a few years back and I'd like to think that I've constructed a fairly decent portfolio over the years. hehehe :p Most of the images in my portfolio are photos I've taken on various beats I've covered: news, travel, sports, lifestyle, etc :) Although I don't practice photojournalism professionally nowadays, I still updated that portfolio in case I decide to become active again. :)
