Ipod is by far the best media portable player. Simply because it is made by Apple and their products are top of the line - that's why they are more expensive than the oters.

Well, ipods are pretty good. After all, it's a matter of taste, of what you like. The ipod wheel is quite a nice little gadget, but I'm pretty sure you can live withut that, regular buttons are just fine.

If I was you I would go with a ipod. They are great and very dependable if your the type of person that takes care of your stuff. It also has the upgradable software so you don't have to worry about a older model being out dated and useless. You can also get it jail broken very easily if you can find the program on the net. Takes about two minutes and once done you will be able to change your backgrounds and springboards and get thousands of apps for free. The only thing I strongly recommend is if you decide to go this route and buy a ipod, make sure you get something bigger then a 8gb because once you get going on it your space disappears fast because there's so many applications plus any music you load.
