I think it is very hard to live today without the net because almost all of transactions are done because we are now in electronic world. our life is so dependent in the internet because advantages are easily seen in many manners

Yes, it's possible to live without the internet. It's possible to live without computers. It might not be what you consider a high standard of living, but it would be life. Mankind lived without the internet once, it is possible.
Can you manage in today's world without the internet? Yes, you can. It might be a little harder than what you're used to... but it is totally possible.

Okay, do you have any suggestions as to how one can live without the internet in today's world?

Today's world is entirely dependent upon Internet. Home, office, fun and entertainment, information, or suggestion - can we think of anything else other than the Internet at the fist instance. You will be surprised to know that I use Internet to find contact details of local doctors. Life would go impossible without Internet right now.

My Answer gonna be Yes. In the olden days there are no internet and people use books to find resources. There are still people that does not have access to internet yet they live but because we have been adapted to this world... then we get used to having internet around us and everything around us. Believe it or not.. I met people with no bank account as well which is you know.... its really really surprising

You're probably right about this. Yes, i think there are people who live without the internet.
As far as people not having a bank account, do you mean that they just don't have a bank account, and they just keep their savings in a drawer in their home, or do you mean they don't have any savings and just live day to day??

You could live without it because its not a necessity like food, water and shelter. It would only hinder you if you ran a business because its the best way to duplicate yourself so others can see your product. Other than that it can become an addiction whereas many people come home from work and bypass their significant others just to log onto the web. Its sad really.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that one. Unless you have a business that you depend on the internet for, it's basically an addiction. People neglect the people in their 'real' life, to talk to strangers on a machine. Yes, it's very sad.

I recently travelled around in Europe for one month, and before I left I went to my local train station and I asked for a copy of the timetable, but they told me that the printed version of the timetable was no longer available. I had to find the information on the internet instead. In the past I received a snail mail letter about the details about my salary, today those letters no longer exist and the only way to find the information is on the internet. In situations like that it is hard to manage without the internet, and in the future that kind of situations will probably happen more often than today.

Yes, this happens all the time-you call a company to ask for information and the first thing they say is "did you look at our website?"

We really should find something interesting to do 'in real life' :)

My sister, who is 62 lives without a computer and the Internet. So does my Dad...he is 97. I live in a remote village with, give or take, about 75 inhabitants within about 45 homes. I would say maybe there are between 15 and 20 computers here in town.
I would certainly missit because I have grown quite dependant on my computer for all my banking and bill paying. I also use it to keep in touch with folk because the phone is too expensive. I do however, spend waaay too much time sitting in front of my computer when there are otyher things to be done.

Yes, it is possible to live without the Internet. I lived without an Internet for years without problems and sometimes I have to be way from my desk all day and manage without it then. I am not saying it would be easy, because I have come to rely on help from the Internet so much, but I could adapt I am sure. _Derek

hi...pal
I find my self very busy in the internet everyday... chatting to friends sending mails and doing alot...And i accept that it became a daily routine in our life to browse the net... but i never felt bad and i never think that we cannot live with this internet.
because i think and take this internet as a beautiful system that was created by ourself to ease our lifestyle and get entertained and for quick communication and for knowing the world. But there do several alternatives for this internet also... may be little bit slow but communication is never failed in the days eve computer was not invented . and hence i can judge that we can live comfortably even though there was no internet.. and our life is important than all these things...
Dont you agree friend...?????!

I think it's very possible to live without Internet.
Of cours,e it depends on the person.
Right now, I use the computer and the Internet for about 10-12 hours every day (including weekends) for working and making money.
So, I couldn't live without Internet.
But the average person I think it should be absolutely fine.

Of crouse you can live without internet! A lot of people do, it just a different way of life. I personal have a mobile phone that I don't use, some people find that very hard to understand.
It would make something almost impossible. Job hunting spring to mind. If your unemployed you need to have internet if you hope to find a job today.

Yes, and i bet there are other situations that one would have to have the internet as well.
Does this all mean we are stuck using the internet whether we like it or not?
