Most of us love this time of year becuse it brings family toghether. Some like that there is great food to be had by all. And then you have those who just want the gifts.
I have the best family in the world. Altough I don't celebrate Christmas, I still love that time spent with my wonderful, crazy, loud, funny, silly, greedy family. When we get together we alway have such a great time. I have some of the best cooks in my family so the food is always just mouh watering and yummy!
Hey getting what you really want as a great gift doesn't hurt either!!
What is the best part of the holidays for you?

It's hard to say just what is the best part of the holiday season. I don't like Halloween, so I skip that part, but from there on out, it's just plain fun. I love it that family gets together and the food is always good, but I also love the bright colors of fall and then Christmas colors, which I can never get enough of. I love the music of the season (I listen to Christmas music in July sometimes) and I love the lights and the excitement of it all. Which is best? I don't know!

Although I enjoy the holidays, the lights, the colors, and everyone rushing about to purchase that last minute gift, I personally must confess that I feel great relief when they are over. It is a big expense and every year I go into debt over Christmas, and usually don't get out of debt until June or July, just a few months before it's time to get back into debt again because it's Christmas time again! Last year, my daughter and I tried something different. Because we live so far apart from each other and it costs so much to buy the gift then mail it, we decided together that we would give a gift of charity "in behalf of". We used Heifer International, an organization that provides animals or trees, or bees, that people can use to generate cash from their produce in Third World countries. My daughter made her purchase/donation of ducks, and sheep in behalf of myself, and I purchased bees, and chickens, in her behalf. It's wonderful, as you get to feel that you did something good for someone else that they can have a hope and a future, and you also donated in someone else's behalf, totally unselfish giving! And the thing that's wonderful about Heifer International is that if you can't afford the cost of the whole gift, you can buy a share in it, and when enough shares have been collected or combined, then the donation of a steer or cow, or other more costly item is purchased and then donated to the family in need. It's a wonderful way to share the giving spirit of Christmas with others in need world wide.

Hi momma! I think that the best part of the Holiday season is
about being with friends and family. I don't have any family,
except for my Mom and she lives in Florida and doesn't even
celebrate the holidays. I just got back from spending 2 weeks
with her and will go back to see her again after the holidays.
I might go back to spend her 81st birthday with her depending
on how the weather is here in NY because I hate flying in the
Winter when the weather is bad up here. So that leaves me and
my boyfriend pretty much alone for the holidays since his
parents are deceased. So we make the best of it and I cook and
we have some friends drop by. It isn't the greatest, but we
do what we can with what we have~

You're really blessed to celebrate the holiday season by gladness and joy in your heart. I haven't felt the happiest holiday season yet as we are not a well-bonded family. But I am grateful that each year, I am able to witness it before my eyes. Still looking forward for the best ever, maybe when I get to have a family of my own. I just hope so...
