Greeting Facebook Friends On Their Birthdays

Here's another thing I thought about concerning Facebook.
Do you greet ALL your Facebook friends on their birthdays? At least, of course, those whose birthdays you know. Why?
Me, I don't. Why you may ask? To some, I just don't feel that connected to them. I added them as my friends just to be polite. Because at one time in our lives, we were connected in one way or another. And anyway, they won't greet me if it's my birthday. LOL!
(By the way, they say it's best if we don't post our real birthdays on social networking sites. Scrupulous people can use it to get more information from us. Identity theft, anyone? Just a word of warning. )

I just greet who I know personally or whom I know online for a long time or those to whom I used to talk to online.. Identity theft?? well, they're just insecure people.. but using birthdays?? well,, how can it help them? well, the safest thing to do to avoid identity theft is to add just those you know..

I play the games so i have a lot of people as friends that i have never met. and the birthdays are only one or two a day, and then some days none, I always take the time to Wish them a Happy Birthday. It only takes a minute or two to make someone feel special on their day. I do not do it to get anything in return from them. It is a shame that you have added people as friends and then can't take a few minutes to wish them a Happy Birthday because you would not get one in return. I am nice to people all the time weather i know them or not.

Well, you're nicer than I am. I added some people on my facebook because I feel it's rude if I reject their friend request. And it's not that I don't want to take the little time that it takes to greet them. It's just that we're just not that close. I'm sure it's of no consequence to them if I greet them or not. I'm not that big a deal in their lives, I'm sure. Anyway, keep being nice. The world needs more people like you. (And maybe less of people like me... Hahaha!)

I don't usually send something to all my friends on my list who are having birthdays. I think it would feel a little fake to not really talk to them and then send them a birthday wish. I generally just stick to wishing friends that I talk to more a Happy Birthday on their facebooks. Unless someone I wouldn't normally wish happy birthday to sends me a happy birthday on my page. Then I make sure to think of them on their birthday.

I don't greet all of my facebook friends on their birthdays, only those whom I know personally. :)

Me too, I only choose some friends that I greet them during their birthday. Those friends that I feel very much comfortable to greet or talk with.
All of my friends are somehow I have known in person, but others are not that close that I can call them friends in real life. I ignore people who I don't even know.
Yes, it is best not to post our birthdays in FB because it is more alluring to hackers when they know it since some of our passwords are made up of numbers based on their birthdays. DO not reveal much information in your profile too.
