there is simply not enough jobs today for every one. families are loosing everything they have due to the fact that they dont have jobs or a way to generate income. me and my husband are thinking of an idea. we want to start a non-profit organization to take donations. these donations would go toward creating more business to help create more jobs. the more jobs, the more money spent, the less likely people around are going to have to do without, or having their children taken away. i have seen several families that have lost their children because it is hard for them to find a job. they loose everything and then all of a sudden they are unfit parents. this organization would start out small, accpeting donations. these donations would go towards starting a business or franchise. that business would generate jobs and profit. All those profits would go towards creating another business to create even more jobs and so on. if you could donate. Would you? do you think this is a good idea?

Check at organizations of long standing first. Or, instead of getting into the difficulties of starting with an organization that meets the legalities, get together (several families) and start one small bussiness where all of you can share the profits. DonĀ“t expect much of donations from people. Everyone prefers to donate to organizations like the Red Cross or others like that.
In my country, in times of lack of money, modest ladies get togewther, buy flour, eggs and other stuff and make empanadas (a sort od meat pie) that they sell in their own neighborhoods for a small profit. At those neighborhoods there are people that still spend their money at fast food places. You can be sure that they can beat the Mc Donalds or Kentucky fried chicken prices and make them better.

Hi donnaphipps!
I salute you and your husband for such a visionary idea and your kindness. What business exactly are you going to work on? Is it going to be a social enterprise kind of a thing or simply a charity organization. Good luck in your endeavor!
