I have firefox 3.6 for ubuntu and I want to downgrade to 3.5.9 or lower. I hate the fact that with the new firefox, there is very few add-ons and extensions that work. I would really appreciate help. I read through the ubuntu forums and couldnt find any solutions that worked.

Open synaptic and uninstall firefox.
Go to your home directory and delete the .mozilla directory (it is hidden).
Or, use this coomand line:
sudo apt-get remove --purge firefox
Now, in order to install older version, you can either use Synaptic or do this: http://bit.ly/tYDtD
