Why become a christian

Just keep praying for him, imho (in my humble opinion) too much talk does the exact opposite of what we wish, but prayer (with trusting faith) moves mountains..

Why need to persuade. A person should become a Christian by their own free will. If he is interested in becoming Christian he sure won't ask this question. He just seek an excuse for not being a Christians. The only way you can persuade him is by make yourself as a good example. Show him how God have blessed your life and how happy you are because you are a Christians.

You should not persuade him. Let him chose his own way and if Christ wants he'll find his way naturally. And being christian, does not mean everything is good in life. :) Divine repercussion is unreal.

there's no connection between religion and natural disaster

i guess you can't convince a person to accept Christ in his/her life, same way for those who don't believe in Christ they can't also persuade us not to believe in Christ. I guess we just have to respect everyone's point of view.. But i know how you feel though i have experienced this kind of feeling a friend of mine don't believe in Christ and it was so frustrating, trying to convince him then i just realized every person has their own decision.. ...because its the only way to live. the alternative is just a meaningless existence filled with things that will never satisfy. There is a God-shaped vacuum in man's heart and it can only be filled with God. If our watch is broken, we bring it to the watch repair shop; same with our radio or tv. But when our lives are in shambles, we bring it places that provide a QUICK FIX, which is no fix at all, instead of bringing it to the author of life.

Well a Friend of mine is a beekeeper, and she puts a Saints Medal under each bee hive. She says its to help the bees be strong and make more honey! I told her she was crazy to do that! I said if putting that Christian Symbol under a bee hive made any difference at all, every beekeeper in the world would be crazy not to do the same thing! She just smiled and said,"Well it makes me feel good!"
