This tree is a veritable miracle vegetable in all countries, its so rich in nutrients. 200 grams of malungay or Oleifera leaves would give a nutritive value roughly equivalent to four eggs and two glasses of milk. Its iron compound prevent deficiency of red blood cells known as anemia. And being a very rich source of calcium,it aids in maintaining healthy bones and teeth. And if the roots of this tree is chewed and applied to a snake bite, it will prevent venom from spreading.
