Well i think watching news is a good thing, as you can stay connected to all the world news whatdever they are such as spots, politics, hollywood etc. But now a days the news channels have become entertainment rather than knowledge. So do you watch news? If yes then which type of news do you watch?

As far as I am concerned, I seldom watch The TV news now, which is not so convenient to me to watch, but I do know some news happened in the world. As we can see that our world develops so quickly, I can get more news about the world on my computer with the Internet, which is more convenient and quickly to me now. I enjoy this way to know more news.

Hi Harry, yes, i do watch news channels such as bbc, cnn and local tv shows like 24 oras and TV patrol. it always good to be informed.. i have started to love watching news channel when i shifted to International Studies course. my professor always told her students to watch news everyday because it will help us to become more knowledgeable and vigilant of our environment. when i don't like watching the television, i turn my laptop on and visit yahoo news online. actually, it's way better compared to tv because it's being updated from time to time.

Yes, only if they are breaking news which affects the world or my own country. Other than that, I'm not interested because it's boring. Local news might interest me a little but when it comes to entertainments or politics, I will switch channel immediately. Though I come from a Chinese speaking family, my preference is with English news reports because I can understand it better and it carries different news from the Chinese channel.

I don't watch actual news channels, I would get bored of hearing the same updates in very short space of time. I do watch "Sky Sports News" as it tends to talk about all the sports, which can easily be broken down but that's mainly just out of interest. I prefer watching the normal channels, that contain dramas and sitcoms. Would be nice to see channels being more original as most just seem to air repeats and I cannot see them making money of that.

generally i will watch less news. i dont like to see the news channels through out the day. in morning i will see just once, our local news channel. now a days, news channels are giving news every one hour or half an hour,i gets bore to see those many times in a day. so i switches off after i see once in a day. generally in tv i see serials, movies only. if i see news,i see local, national or any international news. i like to see my language news of india.

Yes, I try to watch news at least once a day, usually in the evening and, if possible, also at midday. There are people who preferes reading newspapers, but I prefer to listen and to see it on TV, news all over the world and specially what's happening in the country where I am living. The news are always manipulated, but as they are given in different channels and they are not given by they same way, you can choose between different news channels. Because ones looks more for entertainment in the meantime others search the truth and really try to inform.

Oh yes! I am not a big fan of tv otherwise, and I probably watch less tv than most, but I do check the news every day for a bit, sometimes even several times a day. I love BBC and CNN and the French channel France24.

Yes I love watching international news every night. But I'd be more interested to watch if it's about business but then keeping yourself updated is what we call social awareness.

There is so much that I don't care about on regular news channels that I don't even turn them on. I hate the sports, the hollywood entertainment junk, and traffic. Then the rest is so one sided and the things that I am interested in are at the very end and then just enough to intrigue me, but not give much info...sorry, just to much waiting and weeding to bother with. I tune in at about 15 minutes after the hour cause weather comes on in minutes and even then...they start with the "what happened today" and temps today and last night...good grief...yesterday is over, so far today is over, can we just talk about what will be happening? And no detail about anything and the media is so bias....pulling gum off the bottom of your show is more productive and knowledgable! So that is why I watch Fox News, O'Reily, Hannity etc.

I'm from the southern part of India. I first watch the national news on T.V.Then i browse for news on the web. I also browse all news pertaining to business.I agree with you when you say news has at times become more sensational than informative.I try to keep myself updater with all international affairs and also sports channels.

YES, f course. Watching news is still best when it comes to watching TV. AWARENESS is a weapon that is why news programs are great, they make you aware of the current situation going on around you and even abroad. People need to set their mind on facts by watching news and documentaries and not just on soaps and series that make then dwell on the idealistic part of their minds. just my opinion, happy mylotting.

I usually watch the news at the morning at at the evening. It's more comfortable than buying a newspaper. My favorite is about the politics and general information, 2nd is Sports. I really don't want showbiz updates, whenever showbiz is the news, I manage to change channel immediately.
