I booked a table at a chinese restaurant two weeks in advance and spelt my name out down the phone for them. When the day came for what was meant to be a special meal we arrived at the restaurant and was told that they could not find the name. I did not want to leave .The manager was called and with a smile on his face said all the tables are booked i explained that i booked two weeks ago for a table. I think this is a disgrace i booked in advance to try and ensure we would have a table but some idiot cant do their job!
We have booked a table for this saturday lets see if they can sort this out. IF they muck up i will let everyone at my uni know never to eat there.

That is just wrong. They need to find out who the worker is and possibly fire them. I dont think you should tell everyone not to go there just because one worker messed up.You should give them the benefit of the doubt.

Yes sometimes a business reputation gets ruined just because of a single worker's incompetence. Pity the management and owners, but they also are partly to blame because of command responsibility, poor screening of applicants, or underpaying employees ( you get and deserve what you pay for hehe..)

I must say you were more open minded than I wouldve been. That's not fair. Its completely wrong! What happened to the special meal for that evening? I only hope as you do that your table next saturday will be great. THey shouldve given you a gift certificate. They definitely got off easy. They best treat you like GOLD! Happy Eating dl
