Maintaining the quality of your blog is really depends on you. If you post quality articles then you must be doing a good job. Visitors you can get a lot of visitors by joining a lot of sites that offer the same thing. They will visit your blog and you also need to visit their blog. So that's how it is.

I have not been maintaining my blog that well lately. I have been slacking a lot. I was recently preoccupied with another site, and now that I have found MyLot, I haven't been on my blog a lot. I have a money making one, and a personal one...Both of which I have been slacking on.

A sregards traffic you can think about different instruments as add yuour posts to social bookmarks as digg,delicious,stumbleupon,reddit for example..improving your seo policy for your blog and entries,having apresence on social sites as twitter,facebook for example..or even exchange your blog links with others bloggers of the same topic and so ahving an active blogroll,promote it even the free traffic exchange or generator..it depends from you,your topic and your choice!!Good luck!
