at home, im frustrated that despite both of my parents are professional and earning, it turns out that my mother is considered the breadwinner in the family. shes the one who pays the bills, gives our allowances, buy basic necessities and almost everything. my dad wastes his money on his gambles such as cockfighting or sabong and suertres lotto. he keeps his money all to himself and shirks from his financial responsibilities in this family. before, when we would ask money from him, he would rather tell us to ask from our mom. if not bcos of mom, we wouldnt be able to put up this house or finish college.
im just curious what is the setting in your homes? please share...

Both, it is quite common where I live that both women and men work and share the bills and the costs for groceries etc.

Well since my wife is a full time house wife, I am the one who pays all the bills, as well as all the fees. I do not gamble, and lottery is banned in our state. We have only horse races, and I do go there, because I do not know anything about it.
Do not be very hard on your dad, there are some males, who behave like this, when the woman in the family earn. Maybe if your mother was not earning, your father would have been more responsible.
