making new online friends.. is it going to be long lasting

I chat to alot of people online and they are really nice,however saying that you never know if what they are telling you is the truth.I think that having people to talk to that do not know you and your friends is great as that way you feel like you can talk to them about almost anything.I would never give out my telephone number to anyone online.

I find it weird to make friends online. It's still better to make friends in person. Not only do you see the person you're making friends with, you also see his/her gestures and reaction to know if he's/she's capable of deceit or not.

I agree with Scott that it is indeed hard to find true friends online. That being said, it's far from impossible. I guess the problem is that it's so extremely easy to just "add" somebody as your friend. People who believe that they're best friends with the person after "adding" them as friends, are so wrong. Can you imagine if it was like this in real life? No! But, as I was saying, it is in fact possible to find true friends on the net. I have at least a couple of friends who I met online more than 4 years ago, and I'm still talking with him. Some of the friendships started as a friendship based on a business, some started from a game. But what really matters is that I still talk with them nearly every day. In my opinion this is a good example, showing that it is actually possible to find friends online where the friendship will be long lasting.

I don't really believe the friends that I ill get from online.But even then I chat with them with all my heart opened.I like them because I want to make more and more friends all around the world.Sometimes the things that you have mentioned in your post may also happen to me, but I don't mind them all.Only a few incidents will hurt me....
