Black on white the best?

All day long i ma sitting at work and working near PC. My eyes all day look at PC monitor. Ok, i have nice LCD samsung monitor, but still eyes feels tired after a long working day.
My main work is digital drafting with Autocad and there is an option in Autocad to set up working model space background color. I have seen, that many set it white and works with black text and lines color. Until now i have black background and i draft on it with white color texts and lines. So now i am a little bit confused which would be better to read for me and which color could be better for my eyes? Black text and lines on white background or white on black?

Well the lighting also has a factor. If it's dark where you work, white text on a black background. If it's bright where you work, black text on white background. The best thing to do to help your eyes is to take breaks! Don't always stare at the screen. Maybe look around the office for a little, or close your eyes for a couple of minutes. This will surely help your eyes be less tired. :)

Thanks for advice. I am already trying to do so, but you know sometimes i am working so hard that i forgetting about my eyes.

Hello you should spend a 1-2 minutes on each half hour for rest of your eyes.I have the same expirience and when I started to do it I feel better and better.My production is look better too.So the things are complicated and mutually connected,in my modest opinion.

Thanks for suggestion :) I will try now to get rest for my eyes for every 5 minutes per every half hour of my work time. I hope that will help :)

I am just changed background of Autocad from black to white. its better.. my eyes feel it already :)

yes, because all projects we must plot out is on the white paper.

When you use the white colour you have better imagination how actualy the drawings will look.I'm also use this colour but I'm not sure that is the correct way.
