Learning 2 languages at the same time!!

I am learning Dutch and Spanish at the same time.. I would be very lucky if I would learn these two languages in a year. The problem is, I don't know when I'll be good enough even just to understand spoken words of both languages. Thanks to online translations and language tutorial. But I'm afraid, it is still better to learn one on one, face to face or in a group with a teacher or instructor. Any advice from the pros?

Learning another languages other than your mother tongue would be fun. A lot of things and it would also an edge for you to be competitive in another country. But the efficiency would not be as good as well if you are learning language 2 at the same time. You need to have your focus on one language only for 3 - 5years with a constant and continue usage of the language before you could be more efficient then once you learn the other language then you can start learning another language again but make sure not to lost track on the other language that learn first.

learning a language if you are still young may be easy..because you can adjust well...however, if you're already old, it may be a bit of a challenge. what more of studying 2 langauges at the same time. i would suggest to learn 1 at a time..get immersed with it..so you can learn fast......
