86% favor a free market economy

A recent poll shows that only 14% prefer a government controlled economy over a free market.

It would be nice if this 86% started electing real free market supporters instead of typical statists from both parties. Rhetoric is not enough.

Thing is depends how you ask the question.
Do you favour a free market? Yes
or
Do you favour US removing its restrictive trade practices and subsidies even though this would decrease exports and increase imported goods and an increase in unemployment and a drop in the US economy and dollar price?
Well, do you still favour a free market?

Without such protectionism US economy would decline and Europe's rise. This, for the world would be a very good thing but not so good for US
