Wow, you're really impressive! Unfortunately, I don't speak very many languages. I can speak English and semi-fluent Spanish. I also can speak Japanese enough to get by and French as well. My Russia is very basic. I learned these by taking classes in school and traveling to the respective countries :)

You're pretty much talented I suppose :)
I can only speak 2 languages fluently which are my native language Tagalog and the international language English.
I know only little of French, Spanish and Korean. I learned French and Korean in the internet while the Korean in school with the help of my little Korean friends :D
Hope this counts!

No I am not talented, that are simply the languages we learn in school here in belgium. In Belgium, languages (and math) are very important for the governement as this connects people worldwide.
But two languages is not bad! These two languages you speak are all over the world and many people are speaking them.
All the best

Holy cow! That's pretty amazing. I know English of course, and then I know a bit of Japanese - from taking classes all throughout high school and sometimes in college.. Pretty cool! I don't know if I could ever learn a language on the internet - or on my own..I am not that self-motivated!

That is great Thomas! I wish they would stress other languages in the U.S. like they do in most other countries. Of course when I was in High School a foreign language was a requirement for 2 years. I took Spanish and I can probably understand more than I can speak. My children took French in school (I guess they figured with a last name of DesJardin...they should learn French. I can say maybe 5 phrases in French and that is about it! I have been recently taking Spanish lessons on the internet, but if you really don't have anyone to converse with, it is hard to remember what you learn.

In our multicultural world, languages are needed. It is through language that we come to the understanding with each other. For me, I know how to speak in differential languages. In short, I am a polyglot or a person who speaks in many languages. These languages are English, Filipino, German, French, Spanish, and little about Latin. I am planning to learn Italian this year. I have learned all of these through reading books, watching movies, classes in school, internet, and from my friends.
